Palin ratings rebound

(CNN) – Sarah Palin appears to have staying power when it comes bagging Caribou and grilling salmon on her reality television show.

While critics of the former Alaska governor were quick to point out that ratings for the former GOP vice presidential nominee's "Sarah Palin's Alaska" fell by more than half in its second installment one week ago, the most recent iteration rebounded by 17 percent, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

That means 3.5 million viewers - an enviable audience for any basic cable show, much less a potential 2012 candidate - tuned in to TLC to watch the former Alaska governor's somewhat controversial show that has some Republicans like Karl Rove and Joe Scarborough grumbling that one of the party's likely White House frontrunners is looking clearly unpresidential.

Leave it to the republicans. In the eightys it was the star of Twenty Mule Team Borax. In 2012 it could be the star of Calamity Jane of Alaska.

Silly Sarah needs to stay in AK and keep making a fool of herself on TV.
She is clearly unfit to be POTUS.
Every time she opens her mouth, STUPID comes out.
Thank you John McInsane for thrusting this imbecile into the political limelight.

Poor Sarah Palin is a lost soul. Craves attention from anywhere she can get it. Pathetic woman opportunist who refuses to get out of the limelight. She must not have been given the attention and love she needed as a child. This is her way of getting it.

Alex, "fell by more than half in its second installment"

When does 40% equal more than half? The first installment had 5 million, the second installmetn had 3 million, and the third installment pulled in 3.5 million. This is what is wrong with the MSM, you can't even report the facts correctly. You have to make stuff up. I know who rove is but who is Scarborough?

CNN are you a network that cover news ,or T.V. rating for Saran Palin that isn't news of any kinds. About 85% of American People are trier of hearing of Saran Palin all together the less we hear about her the better. She UNQUALIFIED to run for any PUBLIC OFFICE.

Spoiler alert. At the end of this season of Sarah Palin's Alaska, Sarah is lost at sea. She'll be found at the begining of next season on a life raft off the Alaska coast having survived on seagulls, seaweed and salmon for 95 days. She will use this popularity boost to cash in on another book, a TV movie (Sarah will be played by Bristol Palin and Produced/Directed by Todd) and the Republican Presidential nomination.

    Dear TV Guide,
Thank you for the recent update on the Sarah Palin reality show. Reporting entertainment news is certainly something at which you excel. If only Ms. Half Time Governor was a political figure of merit, we could be reading daily stories about her exploits on actual news channel web sites.

I would not get too excited, I too finally got brave and without anything else on in the timeslot watched. I did learn from watching the show and Sarah is a nice person but will never have what is required to be POTUS.The ratings will actually help people realize that she is good at many things but a Presidential run is out of the question.

As opposed to Slick Willy getting a hummer under the desk? Or maybe Obozo running around in his dorky golf shorts or soccer Mom jeans?

Like I said... the political elitest's in this country truly fear a government run by non-millionaire lawyers. I guess they think they can do worse than run the country into financial ruin like the elitests did. The TRUE danger is continuing to allow the same crowd stay in power.

CNN has found an entertainment article to use about Palin to make sure she is the lead story on hte Ticker- This would make Palin the lead for now 10 of the past 11 days- REALLY? Why the fanscination at CNN?
As for the story itself- it's not a rebound on a holiday weekend up against – nothing! As the only new show on, people were curious and it still means a drop off of 33% from the opening.
And CNN- where's the ratings from the Barbara Walters conversation with the President on Ticker- a truly political discussion?

I cannot fathom why CNN continues to try to convince us this woman is anything more than pathetic failure who is absolutely desperate for attention. Enough already! She has no future in politics or any career that involves acquiring new skills or decision making. Her future is in reality TV and possibly promoting a line of polyester slack suits at Kmart. I pity her for whatever happened to her as a child, but she needs to seek private help for this. She has worn out her welcome with those that actually care about the future of our country.

Please stop confusing viewership on a cable channel with electability to the presidency. They are totally different skill sets.
