Boehner rips House Democrats tax vote as 'chicken crap'

Washington (CNN) - House GOP Leader John Boehner ripped House Democrats for moving ahead with a vote Thursday just on extending tax cuts for those making $250,000 or less, calling the move "chicken crap."

"I'm trying to catch my breath so I don't refer to this maneuver going on today as chicken crap, all right? But this is nonsense, all right?" Boehner told reporters Thursday.

Boehner argued that Democrats were ignoring the message from voters last month who shifted control of the House of Representatives to Republicans.

"The election was one month ago. There are 23 months from the next election and the political games have already started to try to set up the next election. We had an honest conversation at the White House about the challenges that we face to get out of here and to take care of what the American people expect of us and to roll this vote out today, it really is just, it's what you think I was going to say anyway," Boehner said.

The GOP Leader would not give any details on the negotiations between White House officials and Congressional leaders about how to deal with the Bush-era tax cuts that are expiring at the end of the year, but maintained that Congress' main priority now should be on stopping any tax increases for any Americans.

When asked whether Republicans would support extending unemployment benefits as part of a compromise to extend all tax cuts for some period of time, Boehner simply answered, "we'll see."

Anyone who is on the Republican side in this case and wants to say that the Dems are back to their same "tricks" and "games" that they've been pulling off for the last 2 years needs to realize that the 42 Republican senators unanimously decided to block any legislation that wasn't about passing their version of tax cuts through... Talk about playing "games"

Independent, most stupid voters in america again screw every body by voting for this crooks.
Every body gets tax cut up to 250000 including millionaire and billionaire, and this is adjustable income and not gross, so if you are making more than 250000 and you bring it to down your adj. income with other tax deduction and loop hole to 250000 you get tax break.
Media is doing lousy job because they are all millionaire, like 261 congressmans to have tax break for them selves.

Sure, why tax those that create jobs....in China. My most recent display of rampant capitalism came when my daughter begged for an Apple laptop. I've always disliked Apple for their high, fixed prices. I was utterly disgusted to find the new laptop shipped directly from Shanghai China via FedEx, touching the absolute fewest American workers as possible. I thought of the many stevedores, truckers, warehouse workers taht were not given a chance to even TOUCH an Apple product. With the insane price of Apple products. YOU CAN AFFORD TO MAKE THEM HERE.
The Bush Tax cuts were proof positive that cutting taxes for the rich does NOT create jobs, they just save more. Let the rich pay for the wars that their children are shielded from.
