BREAKING: Obama makes surprise visit to Afghanistan

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) - President Barack Obama made a surprise visit to Afghanistan on Friday, personally delivering holiday greetings to U.S. troops stationed there and promising continued full support in the war against Taliban and other extremists.

The president, who is expected to remain on the ground for roughly three hours, addressed troops at Bagram Air Base. Most of the troops were with the Army's 101st Airborne Division, though components of all the service branches were represented.

Wow – He does this so well!! Bush did too! You never know when and where our Presidents are going to show up. I know this makes our military feel really good about themselves and know that we are BEHIND THEM 100% and care deeply about them.

Thank You President Obama and continue to MOVE AMERICA FORWARD!!

We have a great President – who not only talks the (english) talk, but walks the walk.
Without that simpleton smirk (or wink) or faux swagger (or strut).
But I'm sure the right-wing-wackos who comment here will try to spin this as an evil or traitorous act.
How many times did Dubbers visit our troops at the war zone?
Not including the aircraft carrier off the Virginia coast in 2002(?) – "Mission Accomplished".

Pay attention to how they cherry-pick the troops that will stand behind him. He is not popular with the military, because they know at heart he doesn't care about them, their mission, or the United States as it's traditionally been.

Of course, while he's over there, perhaps he can pick up a nice new prayer mat.

President Barack Obama arrived in Afghanistan on Friday on a surprise visit
They look really happy to have their Commander-in-Chief care enough to pay them a surprise visit.
Say what you will about Obama he cares about our soldiers, and is not just paying them and their families lip-service, unlike you-know-who....
