Palin 2nd to Bush

(CNN) - In a battle between former President George W. Bush and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Bush comes out on top.

His memoir "Decision Points" has maintained its number one spot on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction bestseller list for the third week in a row, leaving Palin's new book, "America by Heart" second on the list released this weekend.

Both politicos have toured the country promoting their books. Bush has appeared on nearly every major television channel and Palin is in the midst of a 16-stop national book tour.

Palin's publisher, Harper Collins would not release sales figures, but did say they have printed 1 million copies of her new book. The former 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee's first book, "Going Rogue" sold well over 2 million copies and was number one on the New York Times list for six consecutive weeks.

According Random House, Bush's publisher, almost 2.5 million copies of his book are currently in print. Sales of the book now total 1.5 million copies when hardcover, e-book, audio books, large print editions and export edition sales are included.

But there don't seem to be any hard feelings on Palin's part for her number two book status. She tweeted Thursday saying, "just heard America By Heart is #2 NYT bestseller list behind Pres.Bush's good book, so thanks for sharing inspiration."

Don't worry Half-Wit half-termer, when it comes to promoting your unique brand of trailer trash idiocy you're second to none.
You must be so proud of this non-achievement.

Neither one of them are better than President Obama's children's book "Of Thee I Sing," or Jay-Z's "Decoded" book.

I hope that Sarah Palin runs for President. She is down to earth not like the folks in Washington. She would be able to multitask being a Mother of 5. A woman can do more in one day than any man. I feel she would be there for all Americans not just the rich. Over all she would make a fantastic President. The old say behind a good man is a good woman. Well let the woman do the job. She cant mess up this country any worse than all the men have over the years!!

Really CNN? Noone cares about your obvious love/hate-fest with Palin. It's getting to the point of being intensely creepy.

But what are the real sales figures if you take out the neo-con corporate propoganda machine that buys up right wing celebrity books just to prop up the numbers to use in fox talking points?
I guess handing them out at tea-bagg rallies so the trailer park crowd has fire starters and emergency TP is putting them to "best" use. LOL

CNN: "Jobs Report Disappoints Economists". What about all us Americans?? We are also a little bit disappointed here! We thought that the Anointed One was going to bring "Change" and solve all of our problems. Instead, Obama has taken a slight recovery and NOSE DIVED us into near depression!

Remove ALL Dems from office in 2012!

Meanwhile, last I saw Obama's new book was #28. It doesn't matter that it's a childrens book. Two years ago, that would've been #1. Check his polls numbers if you doubt me.

How sad that books by a warmongering idiot and an egocentric opportunist are so popular. Says a lot about the state of America today.

CNN, do you folks (Gabriella Schwarz, etc.) ever think of giving Ms. Palin her due? God, it starting to seem that your network has a personal vendetta against her. I am a life-long Democrat, but it's about time you folks and the other failing networks cut her some slack.

After all, what you folks, as well as the other anti-Palin networks, and idiotic bloggers are doing is ingratiating her with a large segment of the American populace.

I guess in that case she needs to thank you for the unintended consequences.

    Oh well...

Palin buys most of her own books so this hardly counts. We all know that most of her book sales come from Republicans that give the books away for donations of $5.00 or more. This does not mean anyone actually reads her books. They will be in the half price bin within a couple weeks, no staying power much like her education and employment.

Dumb and Dumber. CNN I am about ready to stop watching you because you shove Palin down our throats daily. I would never buy anything Palin wrote ( of course its ghost written ) the woman cant speak English correctly. I might buy Bushes book to see if I can glean any insight in to what was he thinking going to war with Iraq

I didn't vote for Bush and probably won't buy the book. But if I had, I buy his in a heartbeat over Ms. Palin. What has she done besides quit on her state? At least President Bush had 8 years of a presidency to talk about. Not an easy job and he never quit. I may not have agreed with his decision, but at least he made them, and withstood the consequences of them. He didn't quit on the American public as Ms. Palin quit on her state of Alaska.
