Washington (CNN) - Some critics are blasting the Obama administration in the wake of WikiLeaks' release of State Department cables.
"I didn't see a passion from the people at the Department of State who should have been furious that this database at the Department of Defense has been compromised and that, therefore, they've potentially lost all of these documents to this private first class and then to WikiLeaks and then to The New York Times and other places," Rep. Peter Hoesktra, R-Michigan, told CNN.

How can they blast Obama? Once again, this is a problem inherited from the Bush Administration, and the creation of Homeland Security, and the desire to see documents available across government departments and servers, without appropriate security protocols put in place. The ability to download and move documents has been fixed. Sure this happened during Obama's watch- but the groundwork for this happening occured years ago.

What could would it do to flip out and get all emotional about it? NONE! Once that info got leaked, that was it: time for damage control. Nothing could undo it...they had planned too well for having backup copies made and placed in servers in secret locations, etc., and the intertubes still isn't regulated well or even in a uniform manner around the globe. Part of damage control for something like this is keeping your cool. Why? Because, throwing a giant honking GOP-style temper tantrum solely to get the benefit of hyping it and using it as a demogoguery football DRAWS ATTENTION TO IT. It gives the leaked documents and information the appearance of being far more important than we want everyone else to perceive them as being. Of course, since the GOP thinks this is a fantastic opportunity for playing the blame game, THEY are the ones tipping our hand and doing the real damage instead o fremaining calm, cool, collected and controlled like Clinton and Obama have. Hotheads mouthing off at everyone rarely make any diplomatic progress at all...perhaps that's why we always seem to end up in a war (or two) when the GOPers win control. Sub-human primates beat their chests and holler, pal, not reasoned human beings.

Fair Is Fair, you might want to research what jobs have been out sourced (and when) ... manufacturing jobs left during the Bush I era. To Mexico. Recently, my niece spent $40,000 for her Medical Coding degree only to find THOSE jobs as well have all been out sourced to India. High tech computer jobs are the job categories now being out sourced to India. Not much Medical Coding purchasing options for consumers to buy here in America, is there? Nor can we purchase American made products when the essentials we need are no longer being produced IN America. Clothing, cookware, bedding, furniture, automotive parts ... you name it, it all comes from overseas.
