Washington (CNN) – Politics is serious business - but not all the time. From the halls of Congress to the campaign trail to the international stage, there's always something that gets a laugh or a second glance. Here are some things you might have missed:
I (don't) love Lucy
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid lashed out at Sen. John McCain on the Senate floor on Saturday for his opposition to repealing "don't ask, don't tell" - and took a cartoon-like approach to the matter, comparing him to the "Peanuts" cartoon character Lucy, Politico reports.
The real problem is that the senators protect each other and prop them up for a vote. McPampers had beginning signs of alzheimer's in 2008, and I'm afraid he's off his Aricept again – he doesn't remember that the said or voted differently yesterday or last week or two years ago. Get rid of them ALL when they need medical attention 24/7 – not codepdendent care on the floor of the senate.
way to be a great statesman harry... god your a idiot....
McCain is so confused, he doesn't know what he is for or against anymore. After meeting everyone of McCain's demands on the repeal of DADT, he now wants to start hearings. If he could hear, the vast majority of Americans want DADT repealed.
We are really fortunate to have defeated the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008. It would be hard to imagine John as commander in chief.
Sen McCain! stop being like the Egyptian Pharaoh please, let the people go!!! the generals have spoken. Just wash your hands! the Almighty is the one who turns Saul to Paul, He will take of it.
McCain is a bitter old man who watched his presidential aspirations flushed down the toilet twice ... once to his own party member and then to a Democrat. The only ambition left for McCain is to keep stirring the boiling pot of chaos with HIS anger and HIS hatred, taking down those who opposed him one legislative bill at a time.
That's about the size of it. He does belong on a Peanuts cartoon. Funny.
The country would be so much better off without Reid or McCain in the Senate. Both of these men have lost sight of their jobs and are poster boys for term limits.
I fear that Reid is telling the truth. McCain has become the poster child for childlike behavior. We are really glad he doesn't spend more time in Arizona or we'd have to watch all of his TANTRUMs on local TV. Folks round these parts are wondering if John has finally cut the golden cord and is slipping in and out of Alzheimer-Land. Not good for any of us to have more loonies on the hill than is absolutely necessary ... LOL
Who is setting in McCain's senate seat? It sure isn't John McCain.
