Congress and Obama likely to delay start of their holiday breaks

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama will remain in Washington for as long as Congress stays in session, and that likely means later than the scheduled start of his Christmas break, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday.

Saturday is supposed to be the start of the Senate's Christmas recess and the day Obama and the first family head for Hawaii.

Since I don't get a Christmas break, I find it hard to sympathize. I am sure Dominican Mama will just think it is terrible that Obozo won't be able to take off to Hawaii after his rounds of Christmas parties and slavish star parties, but I think the idiot ought to stay and work to get jobs for all of his constituents and cut their entitlements back.

  3. Democrats Class Warfare - Destroying the economy and country

Now isn't this just tooooo baaaadddd. The incompetent idiot DemocRATS and Obozo knew this had to be done but REFUSED to address this issue. The cowardly Progressive DemocRATS didn't want to be seen raising taxes before an election. The economy and the American people took a back seat to the political needs of these incompetent fools. If they were so sure and confident of their pathetic class warfare tactics, why didn't they man up and do this in October so the American people could have sent home the lot of these cowards?

Are THESE the cowardly incompetent fools you want running this country? Hurry 2012!!!

Actually Stufit, Obummie and his band of fools should go on Christmas break. Much less damage is done to the American people when they are away from D.C. Let the taxes etc go up. The Repubs will clean up the mess after the first of the year and put a SHORT lease on Obummie.

Kudos to them for making a respectable decision. Say what you will about our president and this Congress, but one thing is certain:
Unlike the infamous 'do-nothing' Congress of past, these leaders have actually worked hard for the American people. The diligence will hopefully set a precedent going forward.

I Agree well put Stufit, as i am sure the rest of the far left liberals will cry that Obama the socialist has to stay. Bunch of losers, can't wait till Jan when the repubs take over and fix this mess that Obama and the Dem's got us into.

Well looks like Christmas is coming early because there is no way Obama is going to delay his Hawaiin vacation more than a few days. Thankfully for us getting the tax gift some things are important to the Healthcare redistributor but golfing and lavish entertainment top the list.

Man, "stufit" and "Democrats Class Warfare"...you both need a nice shot of Thorazine with a side of Haldol. Seriously. Paranoid delusional sociopathy is treatable...you just need to walk yourselevs over to the clinic and sign a few papers, then share a room with the guy who pulls his hair out and eats it all day while talking to his invisible friend about farsical nonsense like unicorns, pixie dust and trickle-down economics. Mayeb you can add to the conversation by complaining that the Dems have been engaged in class-warfare, citing all the evidence that the wealth gap has increased over the past several decades, that middle-class wages have remained stagnant, that the rich have grown their share of America's wealth, income and assets to ridiculous proportions, that the middle-class has shrunk and is in danger of disappearing, etc. etc. etc. You know, because when you jump in the pool and get all wet, screaming that you're dry...oh so dry...makes sooo much sense.

" Bunch of losers, can't wait till Jan when the repubs take over and fix this mess that Obama and the Dem's got us into."

They're not fixing anything. They intend to shut the gov't down completely by attempting to defund everything, and then try to blame Obama for it all when he vetoes what is objectively an incredibly infantile, cynical, self-serving and irresponsible fake-attempt at governance by the GOP.

After seeing last nights 60 Minutes interview with Weeper of the House Boehner, I hesitate to ask him where anything is GI Joe - it might unleash another shower of blubbering nonsense. Boehner is one strange man who either drinks too much or isn't quite right emotionally. The next two years aren't looking encouraging.

" Bunch of losers, can't wait till Jan when the repubs take over and fix this mess that Obama and the Dem's got us into."

OK, see, here's the trick when you want to predict what ne side or the other is going to do or say about such-and-such:

First, look at what they have said and are saying about certain things.

Second, figure out how that fits in with what is going on now.

Third, generate something relevant, that coincides with the first rule above.

Soooo, for example, "the GOP is going to attempt to shut down the government, causing massive layoffs and furloughs, huge problems in regulatory oversight of important industries like the financial services industry, and defunding those agencies they are ideological opposed to, such as the Dept or Ed and the EPA, all in an attempt to defund the HCR Bill, force Obama to veto an irresponsible budget and then try to blame Obama and the Dems for all of the fallout they purposefully created"...that is based in reality. They've made plenty of statements to the effect that this is their intention and, unless you've skipped researching Ryan's proposed budget, is very well founded. It's perhaps a little harsh in terms of ascribing particular motivations, but not so far off the mark.

On the other hands, "far left liberals are going to cry that Obama doesn't get to go to Hawaii on time"...that's just petty nonsense intended to insult and demean and really doesn't have any basis in reality...more likely it finds basis solely in your inbred prejudices, tribal mentality and lack of any true understanding of the issues, the procedures involved or the facts and evidence in play.

    See the difference?
