(CNN) – Sarah Palin is again taking aim at Michelle Obama over her anti-obesity campaign, taking the opportunity in Sunday's "Sarah Palin's Alaska" to land a diss against the first lady's efforts to improve nutrition.
While making s'mores at one point during Sunday's episode, the former Alaska governor proclaims the marshmallow and chocolate treat is "in honor of Michelle Obama, who said the other day we should not have dessert."
It's not the first time Palin has taken a jab at Mrs. Obama over her campaign to discourage fattening foods, especially from public schools. The former vice presidential nominee told conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham last month that "the first lady cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families in what we should eat."
Palin also hand-delivered cookies to a Pennsylvania school last month before delivering a speech there, saying: "Who should be deciding what I eat? Should it be government or should it be parents? It should be the parents."
Palin's comments Sunday appear to be in reference to a speech Michelle Obama delivered in July, during which she described her own upbringing when it came to food and exercise.
"In the afternoon, there was no way we'd be allowed to lie around the house watching TV," she told the NAACP in a Kansas City speech. "Our parents made us get up and play outside."
"As I tell my kids, dessert is not a right," she added.

What the heck is wrong with Palin? I mean seriously – if there is anyplace she could find common ground with the Obama's – it would be this issue. Clearly Palin eats well, and I hear she runs regularly.. so why make this issue another division? It just show's how eager she is to score political points, even if it's destructive. Palin should realize that not all kids have parents who give their children healthy food and encourage them to excercise. Clearly THOSE are the people that the Obama's are targeting.
I'm glad it was a Republican who was leading the "Just say no to drugs" campaign (Nancy Reagan).. or Palin would probably be all about telling kids to light a crack-pipe before bed just to be "opposite".
What a liar Sarah Palin is. She continues to distort the truth while proclaiming to be a Christian. She is one of the counterfeit Christians led by the other headline makers such as Limbaugh, Beck and O'Reilly who constantly lie and distort the truth. In the end they will all meet, but not in heaven. God is the ultimate judge and Christians who worship in Spirit and Truth please speak up and defend Christianity against these ungodly imitators.
Palin is a disgrace to any politics that resemble intelligence.
Have Sarah Palin deliver 300 lb 16 year olds, as I do as an Ob/Gyn. This woman's ignorance never ceases to astound me. Anyone who can find fault with a movement to help kids eat more nutritiously and live healthier really has issues.

I'd like to see both of these women disappear. Instead of maintaining intelligent discourse on issues that really matter they resort to petty snide comments that people expect women to make resulting in the degradation of women in American society.There are fine intelligent women in this country but not these two.
If we do as Sarah Palin suggests, then take it one step further. We, the tax payers, should not have to pay for medical care provided by Medicaid for the results of poor nutrition like Diabetes and heart disease or pay higher insurance premiums because the risk pool is less healthy. Sarah Palin is setting a very poor example!!! Not the least bit presidential.

As the picture suggests, the best place for Palin is as a cafeteria waitress. She MIGHT be able to handle those responsibilities without quitting.
Palin is once again proving that she is an idiot. What babblin Palin does not comprehend is that when children are at school, the parents have no control what their kids eat. Sometimes these coprporation are more interested in the bottom line than children health. So Michelle caring about children unlike palin who just cares about political stupidity, wanted to have schools have healthier option to choose from. And who can blame the first lady, choice is good and now the children will have a choice in what they choose to eat. In Palins world, goverment can decide what choices are made for people, as long as it fits in palin ideologies.
The only close to healthy food I see on her plate is the salt infested pickles. Lots of carbs and lots of saturated fats in her diet. It is parents like Ms. Palin that make it necessary to spend money on healthy foods in school because parents are not providing it at home. Case in point...pictures tell a thousand words.
What a complete bafoon. Seriously, I don't know why CNN insists on having a space for her on the front page every day about her stupid comments. Michelle Obama has more class in her toe nail than Caribou Barbie has in her entire family tree. Another swing and miss from Ms. Priss.

That's quite evident in another Palin assertion that going after the First Lady regarding better eating habits for kids is the government's way of controlling what the American people feed their kids. Really? Really Palin? She's doing her part in trying to help Americans live a better, healthier life by setting the example and ENCOURAGING people to change their eating habits. What are you doing along that front? Not a damn thing! So just shut up and go back to Alaska. Really!

The Wasilla Imbecilla has taken stupidty to a whole new level. Governmental and private agencies have more data on the effects of all foods on children, teens, adults, and seniors. Most parents have no way of reading or even obtaining most of these data. Oh wait, these data are scientific. The quitter doesn't believe in science.
She might have an iota of credibility if she would be vet her information . . . you have an increased number of children suffering from a myriad of obsesity related illness.
