Conclusion to Alaska U.S. Senate race near

(CNN)– A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit challenging Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's write-in election victory last month, clearing the way for Murkowski to be sworn in for a second term next week.

Murkowski was defeated in the Republican primary in August by Tea Party-backed candidate Joe Miller. She then waged the write-in campaign in the general election in November to defeat Miller, who filed a lawsuit challenging the result.

    Case closed!
Not a big fan of Murkowski, but she's definitely WAY BETTER than the sore bad loser that she fought against (in her own party).

This whole thing is designed to discourage write in candidates, and Miller just wants to make sure that any "error in the name written" is not valid to be counted.
What I dont understand is why when it was clear she would run why the ballot papers could not have been printed with other independent candidate names and under a heading of write in candidates Murkowski name in small print to avoid spelling errrors by voters , they still have to write it in!!
In a government based on checks and balances and DEMOCRACY we sure have some stupid electoral laws.
Now I guess this tea party candidate (who tea party) believe in more state autonomy will want to pursue this to the Supreme court somehow.LOL.

Conclusion to Alaska U.S. Senate race near…Dear CNN, could you just report the result when it is in?
Perhaps, while you at it could you just change the picture of Mrs. Murkowski to one more neutral or even nicer?
Lisa Murkowski has shown herself in the past as a reasonable Senator and does good work. I very much like her to continue her work as a moderate force.

I will take murkowski over miller any day. The problem is the repugs thinks that the only way they can solve the budget crisis is through spending cuts, yet they are scared to say which cuts they will make. I am tired of the rederics from this party, they are all hot air and no substance. Why was they willing to distroy this country if the rich didn't get their tax cut, a policy that have distroyed this country for the past 10 years, with trillions of dollars of debt. Lesson demand creats supply not sully creat demand, then why is the repugs always hoarding money to the sully side when there is no demand, because the repugs took the money from the spenders in our economy by cutting their spending money. Thank yah for the unions, because they are the only ones that are fighting for the middle class. If the middle class deplete any more we are doomed, who is going to buy our houses and vehicles, we can't leave it up to the rich because they already have their homes and won't buy another one, and we cant depend on the poor because they cant afford it. our high end items must be preserved, and the only group that can do so is the middle class. Imagine if the car companies and housing sector lose their middle class customers, which we have been
doing for the past 3 years. We don't need to imagine what kind of catastrophe that will bring. We need the middle class, and tell the rich stop outsourcing our middle class jobs.
