O'Donnell slams criminal investigation as 'thug tactics'

Washington (CNN) - Republican Christine O'Donnell, who lost her bid for U.S. Senate from Delaware, is lashing out at reports the Justice Department and FBI have launched a criminal investigation into possible misuse of campaign funds for personal expenses, calling any such probe "thug tactics."

Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents have started the investigation, a source with knowledge of the probe confirmed to CNN. The source could not speak on the record because of the investigation is deemed sensitive. The source would not provide any further details and the FBI and Justice Department had no comment.

Yea... people working for her have ALREADY said she indeed misuses campaign funds so I'm not at all surprised. Plus she's a moron and probably didn't think there was anything wrong with that.

Sounds like she thinks it's a "whitch hunt" and doesn't want to be burned at the stake.

Who is she to tell the FBI not to investigate her possible misappropriation of campaign funds. That's like a Mafia boss saying don't investigate me.

No biggie here for O'Donnell. Claim media bias and behind-the-scenes pushing by liberals so that these charges are equated with political attacks. Get contributions to pay for the best lawyers, use this affair to stay in the spotlight. It can be dragged out for a few years at least.

BTW, consider sending a thank you note to the FBI – it's given you the building blocks for a story of conservative martyrdom. You can't buy this kind of springboard. She must have been burning many newt toes recently.

One day we and i might hear a politician on any side of the aisle come out and say simply
I deny all these allegations, I also welcome wholeheartedly the investigation and will cooperate fully without lawyers who I do not need because I did nothing wrong. I have truth and integrity on my side thats all I need.
When I am exonerated as I will be I will then sue the people who made these allegations ( or anyone rmotely supporting said allegations) for libel /slander/ and defamation of character.
    Regards,
    Hodgson.

Drip, drip, drip, oh, this is going to be hilarious or agonizing, depending on your party affiliation. Most likely she has mis-used campaign funds, but whether it's severe enough to become a federal case is uncertain. No matter, the left will call it justice and the right will call it a witch hunt.

If we took Tina Fey, puffed out her cheeks with some cotton, a little makeup, ya think she could do a good O'Connel?

The accusations against her are very credible and her apparent lack of any real employment could easily lead someone to question where her income came from and how she supports herself.

If there is nothing there, she will be vindicated. If she has something to worry about then she pull out her wand and cast a spell against the thugs who are interested in her financial underpinnings.

That's good, I thought she was going to call the investigation a witch hunt. :)
And we all know (thanks to her commercial) she is not a witch
    Or is she?

Now~Ms.O`Donnell would be one of the 1st to call for an investigation,if someone else was doing questionable things with campaign money. If she did not do anything wrong then she has nothing to fear from it being looked into.

label slinging to deflect the bad news that she's under investigation. That's a sincere response. Surprised she did complain that they were on a witch hunt.

Ms. O'Donnell does have the difficulty of not being able to refer to the investigation as a "witch hunt".

She needs to woman up and accept that she may be in a whole heap of trouble of her own making.

And she needs to quit taking advice from Sarkaska Palin.

People like theseTP types always claim they are never wrong. What we are seeing here is a page taken from the quitterMissy Sarah Palin's book.

It is a known fact that Miss O'donnell used campaign funds to pay her rent and buy groceries.

    She should indeed be investigated!

She's pretty, she's smart and she's a conservative Republican so she's an automatic target for the radical liberal progressive media.
