New Palin DVD to be released

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's hit reality show has come to an end, but the TLC network has announced the former Alaska governor's adventurous excursions will live on forever in a special DVD release.

At a cost of $19.98, fans of the nature-themed program featuring Palin will receive a two-disc set that includes all seven episodes of the popular show – constituting 387 minutes of Palin and her family amidst the Alaska backdrop.

Unfortunately for political junkies however, it appears the new DVDs will not include outtakes or other never-aired moments with the former vice presidential nominee.

The box set will be released April 5, a timing that just may coincide with a presidential campaign announcement from Palin should she decide to throw her hat in the ring.

JEEZ can we go a few days without this non-news crap about Palin? Isn't the world sick to death of this moron yet?

This DVD is one of those gifts that keep on giving. Kind of like indigestion.

Damn you Senator McCain (my former hero) for inflicting this imbecile on America.

    Bassman says

Sounds to me like she is shrewd business woman. If she had been a man she would be applauded.
If the person were a man who knew nothing, quit his elected position and mocked education, he would be treated exactly the same as ithis fool.

This is why she quit her job as governor?

Yes, the show was such a hit that it was canceled. Those smart network executives know that when you have a popular, hit reality show, as described in the article, well you just go ahead and cancel it! Of course, I watched exactly part of one episode, having never been taken in by Sarah's dubious charms. Maybe now she can go back to shooting wolves from helicopters and making stupid political pronouncements with her trademark smirk.

"She already has one RV worth 300 grand she traveled around in to film her unreality show"

Just curious, Ron. Is this the same RV that had Queen Sarah's face plastered from front to bottom during her first book tour, or did TLC give her highness a new RV to film their show?

I have watched all of the episodes on TV. Only because I enjoy seeing places in Alaska that I've been to or hope to go to. And to laugh at Palin. Funny how she talks about how doing this and that are traditions with her and her family, yet when she's shown trying to do these things it's obvious that they're very foreign to her. And stop referring to that huge tour bus as an RV. It's anything but. But I don't fault Palin for all she's doing to make gobs of money. My only fear is that someone will take her seriously. Oh, and it's not Sarah Palin's Alaska. Not by a long shot.

She's great at self-promotion, but she is a liar and a quitter, and I don't trust her for one second.

I would not take her DVD even if it was distributed for FREE, let alone pay around $20.

From what I have heard this was a video of Palin pretending to know how to hunt, fish and camp. Sort of like when she was running for VP and pretended that she was a politician. In both cases she needed someone else to tell her what to say and do. That is the definition of a follower, not a leader.

A Mork and Mindy DVD would sell much better and the characters are so much more believable.

A very likely presidential nominee releases a DVD of her reality show. This is EXACTLY the reason the rest of the world laughs at us.

Why does CNN continue to over report Sarah Palin's exploits? Clearly, this woman has no intention of doing anything more than filling her pockets with cash. What is so news worthy about that?

I think you are all missing the point by taking her performance seriously. She is a consummate entertainer, in the mold of Buffalo Bill and P.T. Barnum. It's all an act, and she has managed to parlay it into big money, a political career (albeit short), and worldwide name recognition. She does not believe any of it, any more than Glenn Beck believes any of what he says. They are extremely successful at what they do and should be applauded for that. We should all be so good at our jobs.
Unfortunately, they are both extremely damaging to our country, and for that they should be held accountable.
