The poll's release came minutes before an early test vote in the House on repealing the legislation, which was passed by the then-Democratic controlled Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama last March.

Kent Conrad, who faces what could be a difficult bid for re-election in 2012. Jim Jordan, one of the Democratic operatives who last year founded the group, says they'll spend around $30,000 on the ad buy. The group spent around $4 million in last year's midterm campaign.

DNC ad takes on House GOP over spending pledge

Washington (CNN) - The Democratic National Committee is firing away at House Republicans for what appears to be a backtracking of a pledge they made during the midterm election campaign.

The DNC is out with a new web video Friday morning that attacks GOP lawmakers for now saying that the $100 billion in spending cuts in the federal budget that they promised to cut is likely out of reach, blaming it on the fiscal calendar among other things. The video uses clips from cable newscasts, including CNN's "John King USA" and "Parker-Spitzer." The video is on YouTube and the DNC website. Democratic officials say they are pushing it on the social networks as well.
