Limbaugh says Dems playing politics with Giffords shooting

Washington (CNN) - Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh offered a vigorous defense of himself and Sarah Palin Monday in response to claims from some media commentators and those on the left that their charged statements and colorful language may have inspired the Arizona shootings.

"[The media] is unnecessarily stirring up the country in ways that don't merit," Limbaugh said on his radio program Monday. "It's fatuous and silly to even verify and justify these accusations by defending them. The premise is insane, it's silly, it's beneath these people. Or is it? It is who they are."

Limbaugh's comments come in response to accusations that the charged political atmosphere of 2010 – of which Limbaugh, Palin, and others played a central role – may have incited the use of violence among troubled individuals like Jared Lee Loughner, the suspect that is accused of opening fire outside a Tucson supermarket, where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was meeting with constituents Saturday.

"We are we constantly admonished not to rush to conclusions. Now…reporters are bending over backwards to link this shooting to me, to Sarah Palin, to an entire industry - talk radio," Limbaugh said. "Only in these instances is something said in the media said to influence public behavior. Go out and try to tell these same people that one of their top grossing movies has influenced has influenced abject perversion or radical behavior and they will attack you left and right.

"All of this has been pure politics, disguised as compassion and concern for a congresswoman," Limbaugh added.

A classmate of the man accused of shooting Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords this morning describes him as "left wing" and a "pot head" in a series of posts on Twitter this afternoon.

If that were true, none of us could make the connection.

The ridiculous thing here is how Limpballs allows that he should make the most preposterous conclusions about the words and actions of others (and entire groups, for that matter), but we are not allowed to use his and Ms Palin's EXACT words to demonstrate their instructions and intentions?

    CLASSIC Limbaugh... What a turd.

People like those two assholes palin and limnaugh are the main ones who spread venom across our country. Palin could have used the word revamp instead of "reload" this goes to the mind and hearts of the frindge element. They know what they are doing.

This Jackass Rush Lumbaugh and his Demonic Sister Sarah Palin have been fermenting warfare between left and right for years. They are the ones who really want to destroy our society for their benefit both financial and political. Lumbaugh and Palin are the True American Traitors.

Sorry but it is you and the far right that is inciding hate. Just like it was your Boy Bush that cause the Finanical melt down not President Obama. Far right aways trying to put blame on other and never taken any responisibility to stand up to their mess.

Limbaugh can say what he wants in America regardless of how ignorant it sounds and that is same reason why he does not understand the consequences of what he and others like him say

Limbaugh and his ilk are responsible for spouting the most vile contempt against their fellow men,(democrats) they will not feel remorse for thevictims, of this tragedy, they will just start blaming the left...anyone with an ounce of since knows that if you're reading "Mein Kampf " for any other reasons than for a class at school, than it is safe to assume that he was into racist literature, meaing he was definitely a conservative.

We need to go after the finances of Fox News. The sane and moderate population need to completely boycott the merchants of hate. In addition, we need to encourage advertisers to boycott Fox. When hate mongering stops paying dividends, it will stop.

Well, this is typical Limburger crap that's no surprise. He could have at least had the decency to have waited to say anything for a few more days. Instead, Limburger screams that it's all about politics. Despicable.

You betcha, the Republican Tea Party, talk Radio haters need to take responsiibility for this. But you know they never will...blah blah blah...same old, same old. They start blaming the Democrats of playing politics because they want to take the attention off themselves. Maybe its time to admit you are part of the problem Rush. By the way, when are you moving to Costa Rica? Please take Ms. Palin with you!

How typical. I expected no less from Mr. Limbaugh. He will never get it, never take any kind of responsibility for the hate and anger he and those like him inspire in some Americans. Until Rush, Glen Beck, Palin, Angle and others who think the language they use (Don't Retreat, Reload; Second Amendment Solutions, etc.) is not cute and clever, but in fact dangerous when taken to heart by people like the young man that committed this tragedy here in Arizona, nothing will change.
