Bachmann to give her own State of the Union rebuttal

(CNN) – Move over Paul Ryan. Michele Bachman is giving her own rebuttal to President Obama's State of the Union Address next Tuesday.

While Ryan, the Republican congressman and budget guru, was officially tapped by his party to respond to the president's annual address, Bachmann has a few words of her own she'd like to express.

The Minnesota Republican, who has said she is considering a presidential bid, will broadcast her response to Tea Party activists on the Tea Party Express' website after the president's address. According to the organization, one of the most well known chapters of the grassroots organizations, the conservative firebrand will "take on Barack Obama."

It remains unclear if Bachmann will wait for Ryan's response to wrap up or go head to head with him.

A spokesman for Bachmann did not respond to CNN's request for comment.

Here we have another dingbat who, if she had the chance, would burn an effigy of President Obama. All this woman seems to say is hatred. She seems to only care about herself and the people who have paid for her. Her ideas are, for the most part, idiotic in the extreme. I don't hate all the tea party as they have some good hard working people, but they seem to not care about those who literally cannot fend for themselves.

I think we all know what she is going to say, so she can do her rebuttal today, tomorrow, anytime before the President speaks. Everybody is power hungry these days. I 'm suprise all of the potential GOP canidates don't have some type of pre and post rebuttal gig setup. Netxt up, Pailn, Romney, Miss Gov, Louisiana Gov, Texas Gov, Hannity, etc

LMAO!!! Her and Palin are the jokes that just keep on giving. Its one thing to be a tea party extremist but its funny that the national GOP won't give Bachman or her ilk the time of day...the Republican presidential primary is going to get UGLY I can see it now.

More looney tunes from the extreme right. Maybe she should get Christine O'Donnell to do a joint rebuttal with her.

Bachmann has already proven that she can't argue her way out of a wet paper bag. Why would any intelligent person listen to her drivel?

She's either hugely ego driven, or she's wanting to run for president. Personally, I think its a bit of both. That said, if I see her on the GOP ticket with Palin, I'll know that the Mayans were right about 2012.

why do those people in MN keep sending her back to Washington. She is an embarrassment to what is normally though of a rational place.

She is more like someone from MS or AL.

Good. Let the lunatic talk all she wants. She'll give the American people ample evidence of what they'll get if any of them are dumb enough to vote for her in 2012. And I do so hope that both she and Palin run in 2012. We all need a good laugh.

Michelle Bachman is like a rock chained on to America's foot. While the country strives to move forward her and her Tea Party stalwarts are busy holding it back based on hatred and denial.

Bachman is just as delusional as Palin, or Sharon Angle. That she is speaking through the "Tea Party" website is proof enough of her extreme attitude. Once again the repugnicans have nothing new, just more blather.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! This is hilarious!! Bet the Republican Leadership is going to looooove this!! I make a prediction now. Sarah P. is going to run for the Republican Nom for President.....and she's going to loose, instead of humbly admitting defeat she's going to turn and ask Loony Tune Bachmann be her running mate as an "Independent" Tea Party Candidate....thus splitting the party in Nov. 2012. You will see an Election like you did in 1992.......good luck Republicans.

What were the people of Minnesota thinking about when they reelected this nut? She is a perfect example of why most Americans have such a poor opinion of Congress. Let Bachman and Palin continue their vitriolic remarks until the next Presidential election. This could only enhance Obama's reelection chances, and put more Democrats in Congress.

Why am I not surprised? It seems to me that she has little respect for anyone, why should we think she would have respect for her own party? This "I'm going to do my own rebuttal is a great big "screw you" to the Republican leadership! I'm starting to think that all of their in fighting is only going to weaken their plan to make President Obama a one term president.

  16. Quite the Pundint

What a lot of ill-informed comments. Virtually everyone posting above refers to Rep. Bachmann as crazy or stupid. The fact is that she's very bright and knows what needs to be done to get this country back to where it needs to be, particularly regarding Obama's nationalized healthcare scam. None of you have can coherently present your point of view, so you resort to attacks, and spew what you've been fed by a media that is almost totally in Obama's pocket. Educate yourselves and wake up, you bunch of sheep.

She seems drunk on her own ego and then chased it with a shot of crazy. How do these people get elected? How can someone who doesn't know the purpose of the census get elected to Congress? How can someone who doesn't know that Africa is a continent become governor of a state?! I guess show and snappy sound bites are more important than knowledge and intellectual curiosity.

Is this just American culture or is this universal around the world I wonder?

This is insulting – there are woman of real substance in the Repub party and their "base" only focuses on the lunatic fringe bimbos. And the most sleazy and "off-the-wall" hypocrites of the men get praise and notoriety?!
What has happened to the Repub party – how has it turned in to this perverse creep show?
