Washington (CNN) - Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, the budget guru considered by many to be a rising star in the GOP, will give the Republican response to President Obama's State of the Union address.
You forgot to mention that they've already written it without having heard the SOTU Address.

The "...Republican response to President Obama's State of the Union address..." does not mean a THING!! It is NEVER a "response" – It's always what's on their mind and what they want to fulfill!! This was so "obvious" when Jindal gave a response several years ago AND McDonnell from VA – They did not touch on anything President Obama has said and as a matter of fact – they "repeated" what the President said. Tim Kaine gave a good response one year because he responded to what the other side presented which proved he was "listening".
Whatever!!!!

I'll bet $2 that he'll have some sort of pie-chart or multi-colored graph with him for his response.

Protect and Defend Freedom of Speech in the USA
Excellent choice. This guy knows his stuff. He can run circles around Obama and the Democrats. Problem is Obama and the Democrats are selling "we want to give you stuff free (that others pay for)" while he'll be selling "we are spending too much, borrowing too much, spending our kids and grandkids future and it needs to stop or we're all screwed".
Trust a GOP guru, are you crazy, GOP could not tell the truth if you payed them, they want to kill Obamacare, but they dont tell you what they will replace it with and how they'll the down insurance companies from swindling the little man. You think insurance companies won't try to make money at any cost, the repugs have surely blinded the American people. This law have provisions to tie the the insurance company up and force them to do the right thing, mind you that most of the tyinging up laws havent been put in position yet, but its coming. They are using
the repugs as a propaganda machine to tell lies to fight like he'll to get out of it's d free them up to start doing the American peoe once more. They are even mobilizing their insurance armies as we speak, to tell lies and act like they are so concerned with the American plight. Why wasn't that concern their, while they were making billions of dollars 2 years ago while raising the american premiums 60 and 70 percent, while they vacation in exquisite place and lavished their selves in money. Tell that to the marines. A repug guru don't have nothing to tell us, if they are not willing to raise taxes and bring this country out of the devastating budget problems they put us in and stop cutting the money from the folks who stimulate the economy, our ears are closed I've heard enough of the repugs empty rhetoric to believe any thing they say.

The choice should be The Governor of New Jersey and the Governor/Mayor of Maine . what other DUET would be more represenative of the GOP House of Reps. Those two big mouth Blowhards would be ideal to represent what the GOP stands for or will accomplishfor the next 2 yrs. They may not get a second chance based on their accomplishment and attitudeso far.

Why does CNN - or anyone else for that matter - keep buying into this false notion that Ryan is some sort of "budget guru" and "economic expert"? His ideas have been thoroughly ripped apart by Krugman and others.Whatever he's selling, I'm not buying - it's the same old republican schlock we've been hearing for years.

So the Pat Robertson clone McDonnell gets up last year and makes Va look like it's full of backward butt-clowns, now we get the "dopey dude" from middle Va.
Please rest of the US – these clowns represent only (the ignorrant) half of VA. The rest of us Virginians trust science, understand history, education, evolution, rational thought – and our US Constitution!
We support our President and our country.
