Washington (CNN) - Representative Michele Bachmann tells CNN at the top of her post State of the Union speech she will announce that her remarks are not the official Republican response.
She says she's spoken with Representative Paul Ryan, who is giving the official GOP rebuttal, and with Republican leadership and explains she's "not in competition with Paul Ryan." Instead she says the media has turned it into a rebuttal, misconstruing her intentions.
Bachmann says about a month ago she was invited to speak to the membership of the Tea Party Express and never expected the media to carry her speech live.
Her themes tonight will be "making sure Congress is not spending more than its taking in," "no tax increases" and the importance of "acting within the bounds of the Constitution."
CNN plans to carry Bachmann's remarks live after Rep Paul Ryan speaks.

Much of what Bachman say is improper. These are not the leaders the Republican party needs as the face of conservative principles. She and others are largely looking for the limelight and interested in attention. Give me a more moderate and reasoned politician not looking to be the next Reality TV show star, please.

We had a New Bridge built in St Cloud (because it had the same design flaws as the I35 Bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis) and she refused to support legislation for the funding..when local mainstream politicians DEms and Republicans got the funding ..1 year later there is MIchelle at the New Bridge ceremony claiming she supported the bridge all along "can you say LIAR)

Michelle Bachmann is a lunatic. How in the world did she get appointed to the Intelligence Committee when she has none whatsoever. Paul Ryan, as much as I disagree with his policies is far more in touch with reality than that baffoon Bachmann.
