(CNN) – The Illinois Supreme Court will take up a ruling that would keep Rahm Emanuel off the Chicago mayoral ballot, and the court has agreed to a motion for an expedited ruling.
There will be no oral arguments in the case; the justices will use briefs already filed to the appeals court.

We need to watch this one closely. It seems of late when government is in a big hurry to do something our citizen democracy seems to lose to corptocracy's insider trading!

As a democrat poltician, Rahm is entitled to run anywhere and for any office as he sees fit. It doesn't even matter if he ends up losing a primary – if he wants to run for something, it is his God-given right. As we all know, the laws don't apply to people like him.
Another example of the Obama folks totally ignoring the law. They don't pay their taxes, they ignore the law because they think they are above it and they have supreme court justices (who never served a single day as a judge at any level) to declare the law agrees with their interpetation. I love this counrty but it is on its last leg. It will soon go the way of all free countries. The greed of the politicians will destroy it from within.
Why do we even have laws? It's obvious that they do not apply to everyone.
If his established residency is in question as to it being adequat for IL law. Why can't he just wait till next election?
Rahm should be on the ballot. My God, those of us in Southwest Florida have a California republican representing us in Congress.

The headline of the article is deliberately misleading. I hope CNN would stop calling this a win and just call what it is. Why didn't the headline simply say ' Supreme court agrees to review the case' instead of sensationalizing and misleading.
Rham's brother, a neurosurgeon, should give him a brain transplant.
This is great and true "justice" due.
Any citizen that puts his or her life on hold to serve our country should not be stopped in the return to serve our Great city of Chicago.
