WASHINGTON (CNN) – America is heading in the right direction and now needs to reshape some priorities to ensure future strength and stability, President Barack Obama told the nation Tuesday in his second State of the Union address.
Sounding themes of optimism and pragmatism in his 61-minute speech, Obama called for increasing investments in key areas such as education and clean energy while freezing some government spending for five years in an attempt to address simultaneous needs for economic growth and fiscal balance.
This can only be achieved if the Replublicans get on the waggon of yes we can
I am proud of our intelligent and caring President ( what is more patriotic than helping your fellow citizens' well being by offering Health care ). Thank you for an outstanding speech!
A very good speech that all Americans needed to hear. If the Repulicans can work for the good of the country and not just the good of the Republicann party, we can achieve some peace of mind for our citizens and our country. The next two years can accomplish much or accomplish nothing at all. Congress has a big responsibilty and I pray that all members accept our courntries chaallenge and create lasting stability here and abroad. We have done this before in our history and we can do it again.....The two world wars, the Great Depression and many other areas of resolve that made our country strong again. We shall overcome is a good starting point for each and everyone of us.
I have got to agree with obama on this one, we can reshape the country by voting him and the rest of the liberal demorats out of the halls of congress.
