Obama SOTU: Immigration

(CNN)– Congress should "take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration,"President Barack Obama said Tuesday in remarks prepared for delivery in his State of the Union address.

"I know that debate will be difficult and take time. But tonight, let's agree to make that effort. And let's stop expelling talented, responsible young people who can staff our research labs, start new businesses and further
enrich this nation," Obama said in his prepared remarks.

So Obama still wants an amnesty program for millions of illegals while the borders remain wide open and millions keep pouring into our nation. Many now with guns and drugs! What is he thinking?

Taxes seperate illlegal immigrants from legal citizens. Workers who take home salaries without paying taxes burden the rest of society. Schools, roads, police, etc. are all services provided by the tax-paying citizens. I am in favor of a better system where illegal immigrants can gain citizenship by paying back-taxes on wages earned that were not previously taxed. I support any immigrant as long as you pay your taxes, learn the language, and obey the laws. However, drug cartels pose a serious threat to our nations security. We need to secure the border somehow maybe a wall would be a good idea it worked for China.

It's about time. Before legals become illegals. Backlogs are at their peak and hopefully something comes out of reform . Legals pay taxes and abide law and wait in a queue, only hope is there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

everyone that is for letting the of face open to all criminals and non-criminals from other countries to do as they please, you might as well take down the flag the eagle and get rid of law enforcement in areas that supposed to protect United States from people who are a threat and not a threat. this is making me sick. they are always giving in because they are afraid to say "no" we are not going to take this anyone. you all are a bunch of "cowards" to not to fight back on this and protect the face of the "Earth".

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! that in the middle of the worst economical recession we've known, the so called "President of the United States", is willing to fight on behalf of foreigners (ilegal aliens), whom don't even have the right to be in this country. We need a president that will fight on behalf of the United States of America and its Citizens, instead of one (Obama) that would fight on behalf of the United States of Mexico. MR. PRESIDENT ON 2012 YOU WILL BE OUT OF A JOB.
