Washington (CNN) - A U.S. envoy sent by President Barack Obama urged Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to announce he won't run for re-election later this year, sources told CNN on Tuesday.
The move signaled a major shift in U.S. foreign policy regarding Egypt, the main Arab ally of the United States and a vital partner in the Middle East peace process because of its 1978 treaty with Israel.
Mr. Mubarak needs to state that to the Egyptian people. I think he doesn't get the point 100% yet however. They want you gone now!
So far in right direction
Hosni Mubarak need to step down, just leave the country so people on the street can exercise their democracy and freedom.
Who's the new recipient of the $1.3 Billion we give Egypt? Terrorists?
Smart move, President Obama.
Great, but can you just go ahead and leave now? Thanks
Good job Obama you gave the right advice to Mubarak........now let's see what your haters have in store for yu Mr Obama for your advice to EGYPTIAN president....
