Palin declines CPAC invite – again

(CNN) – The annual Conservative Political Action Conference later this month will as usual feature a slate of Republican presidential hopefuls.

But the news just may be who isn't there.

Citing scheduling conflicts, Sarah Palin has declined to serve as the keynote speaker at the annual conference that has become a who's who of social conservatives and politicians seeking to curry favor with that influential wing of the GOP.

"We are disappointed she couldn't make it this year. It was a scheduling issue," said CPAC organizer David Keene through a spokesperson to CNN. "She expressed interest and wanted to attend this year and we look forward to having her next year."

She would follow in the most recent footsteps of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck had she accepted the keynote slot.

Palin declined similar invitations from the group in 2010 and 2009. But the decision to skip the event this year will be treated with fresh scrutiny in light of the fact she has expressed interest in running for president and nearly every other likely 2012 candidate will be there – including Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Sen. Rick Santorum, Sen. John Thune and Rep. Michele Bachmann.

OH REALLY CNN??!! Who writes this trash? More like you and others like to hype her as a candidate. When she declares she's running then she's running...idiots.

I really don't think she is running. For one thing the Presidency doesn't pay enough. Furthermore, I thinks she knows she can't win the GOP nomination.

I wonder what her "conflicts" are this time.....shooting caribou in Alaska? Spending time on Twitter making inane comments? Teaching her "virtuous" daughter Bristol on how to milk the sheep for $? She could have attended if she wanted to but since it's always about her, the fact she is missing it is the big issue and that's just what the dim-bulb wants

Don't forget – the Democratic Party won the US Senate in 2010 elections when they were most vulnerable.

The losers are the tea-baggers/Republicans who lost the US Senate elections in 2010.

She has been exposed for what she is; someone with no independent thoughts of her own. Failing to appear in front of what would certainly be a friendly audence shows he wary she is of appearing in any unscripted setting...

Maybe she is beginning to realize that her fame is about to come to an end. Or maybe the fee was not as high as she previously had gotten. I don't think she will run for president it is not income in it for her.

Well, if Sarah won't be there, I'm throwing my support to the next best qualified candidate – Michele Bachmann!

She would have to answer questions in this setting, which would, of course, make her look like the uninformed goof that she is. She prefers a venue where everyone is a fan of hers, where everyone hangs on her every ungrammatical word and phrase.

Why this is no surprise. She would never deign speak to this collection of Skinheads, League of Southerners, Glenn Beck worshpers, Neo-confederates, John Birchers, neo-Nazis, KKKers, White-supremacist christo-talibanis because they are just a bunch of TINOs to her. Tea-tards In Name Only..... way too far to the left for her liking.

So is Ron Paul going to win their straw poll again and get booed by the crowd? Republicans are just democrats with different interest groups along with being socially conservative. Get it together Republican Party and go libertarian. Either that or I may as well vote Democrat.

Sarah is not running for president. She may be stupid, but she's smart enough to know she's too stupid to be president.

Palin won't appear anywhere where there might be people who question her intelligence or her motives, and plenty of Republicans are doing both right now. Apparently, the only place that Palin is really comfortable is in front of Sean Hannity, or a bunch of gun enthusiasts.

Who cares? The only way Palin will see the inside of the white house is if she takes a tour. She's a narcissistic self-promoter, that's it – it probably didn't pay enough for her to attend – follow the bucks, and palin will show. She really adds little of constructive value to the discussions.

Boy, at the rate they're going, the cpac gay haters conference could probably be held in a dennys parking lot this year.

If I couldn't put 2 coherent sentences together, I'd make up every excuse in the world also. Can you say" NOT PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL"?

Wow, even what Palin isn't doing is becoming news. Palin doesn't like to speak at a function unless it's her and her alone. That way she won't look bad when she's compared to the other more intelligent speakers. In this case I use the term intelligent very loosely. The press should have figured this one out by now. I'm sure she had a more pressing engagment speaking at a Girl Scout cookie sale booth or maybe at a how to skin a moose seminar.

There will be media attending and she may have to answer questions on her own and we all know she won't have that happen. Cluck Cluck!

Which is why whe will never run for President. She knows she cannot compete with the "heavy hitters" and would never
survive any debates. I will say, however, the past speakers and the list of attendees is about as sad a roster as I have
ever seen. There is your list of possible President, and cabinet members. Pain will just stick with her crowd of
"ain't she purdy" dopes, and rake in the dough, After all, botox is expensive so to hair coloring. In the words of
that precious Dolly Parton, it "takes a lot of money to look that cheap".
