Palin declines CPAC invite – again

(CNN) - The annual Conservative Political Action Conference later this month will as usual feature a slate of Republican presidential hopefuls.

But the news just may be who isn't there.

Citing scheduling conflicts, Sarah Palin has declined to serve as the keynote speaker at the annual conference that has become a who's who of social conservatives and politicians seeking to curry favor with that influential wing of the GOP.

"We are disappointed she couldn't make it this year. It was a scheduling issue," said CPAC organizer David Keene through a spokesperson to CNN. "She expressed interest and wanted to attend this year and we look forward to having her next year."

She would follow in the most recent footsteps of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck had she accepted the keynote slot.

Palin declined similar invitations from the group in 2010 and 2009. But the decision to skip the event this year will be treated with fresh scrutiny in light of the fact she has expressed interest in running for president and nearly every other likely 2012 candidate will be there – including Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Sen. Rick Santorum, Sen. John Thune and Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Could it be that the light has finally gone off in Palin's head that she is not wanted on the national stage by the vast majority of Americans? That her 15 minutes of questionable fame has elapsed? That her lies, deceits, cranky irrational one-liners and idiotic attemps to re-write the country's history and the Consitiution have totally backfired and she is now viewed as the poster girl of everything that is wrong with our beloved country? Nah... it's just ther isn't enough money in it for this greedy gal from no place who has done nothing but quit and bitch and spin her baseless lies. Throw some money at her GOP and see if she'll change her plans. then we can all sit back and watch your Greed Over People party deteriorate and finally implode from within.

She's heard the drum beat of "no-more Palin" and rather than embarress herself, has counted her money and figures she has enough to last until she gets Todd back to work.

This is actually a good development. If Ms. Palin is just now finally getting some decent advice for a change, this could cause serious damage to the republicans in 2012. She can't possibly win. If she continues her tailspin to "wacko-city," she wouldn't be much of a challenger to Romney. But if she were to begin avoiding dumb comments/behaviors/actions, this might mean she could actually do substantial harm to her party when she runs for president.

"Run, Sarah, Run!" Our country needs you!

She's not running for president. Why would she want to? She has a great life with out any real responsibilities.

Smart ---– She`s distancing herself from the Republican Party to remain true to her "professed" beliefs. She`s wanting to run as a Tea Partier. I love the idea !!!! But not for the reasons you might suspect !!!

Of America's obsession–at least some Americans–with Palin look to what Hamlet said, "Oh shame where is thy blush?"

Her only interest is to make money no matter how. She does not want to be president. She is a quitter and can't make any serious decision. Just like Beck and Limbaugh, all mouth no solution. She never ever had the solution to any problem.
She can't even re-load a gun and hit a target at less than 100 yrds even so she claims to be a skilled hunter. Guess the report was right, that she does photo-ops with animals that somebody else shot because she can't hit any target.

Another group obviously offered to pay Palin more to speak. She's all about the money. And she won't actually run for president. She just wants to keep people wondering - so she can make even more money and have some influence. But clearly her star has been fading ever since her tone-deaf response to Tucson.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH! We had a nice little break from her! But I suppose we should wait for the follow-up story, it will probably be, "Surprise! I'm not a conservative, I just play one on TV!"

The teaser on the home page said, "Palin subs top Republicans."

I thought maybe she was cruising around the Capital building casting proxy votes or something. Guess it was just another typo.

She would have possibly had to debate issues with the other candidates and how in the world could she do that? Her uneducated views would have been center stage. She's only good with complete softball questions from her coworkers at Fix News who won't question her dumb statements or non answers.

Palin can't handle any kind of unscripted situation and probably wouldn't stack up well against these other Republican "hopefuls."

So she's taking the passive-agressive route of getting attention by not being there.

Ah, the maturity of a whiny, mean girl!

Of course she will skip it, she's not running. But she will entertain any questions about it, since that puts her face in the news. After the deadline for the Iowa primary passes, she will finally make some unintelligible statement about "the people have spoken and freedom" which is supposed to stop people asking why she was so much smoke and no flame.
