Palin declines CPAC invite – again

(CNN) - The annual Conservative Political Action Conference later this month will as usual feature a slate of Republican presidential hopefuls.

But the news just may be who isn't there.

Citing scheduling conflicts, Sarah Palin has declined to serve as the keynote speaker at the annual conference that has become a who's who of social conservatives and politicians seeking to curry favor with that influential wing of the GOP.

"We are disappointed she couldn't make it this year. It was a scheduling issue," said CPAC organizer David Keene through a spokesperson to CNN. "She expressed interest and wanted to attend this year and we look forward to having her next year."

She would follow in the most recent footsteps of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck had she accepted the keynote slot.

Palin declined similar invitations from the group in 2010 and 2009. But the decision to skip the event this year will be treated with fresh scrutiny in light of the fact she has expressed interest in running for president and nearly every other likely 2012 candidate will be there – including Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Sen. Rick Santorum, Sen. John Thune and Rep. Michele Bachmann.

To be fair, her PAC is apparently sponsoring some event or something or other that's going on there, so I don't think you can call this a snub. However, that doesn't exactly save her from being a complete idiot.

Maybe its her preconceived self importance is the reason behind the snub-OR
Maybe its the nauseating list of the predecessors-
Maybe its because she has her own pseudo PAC-
Maybe a little bird whispered to her how cerberal void she comes across and wants to spare her self further embarrassment

Good to hear- less of her vile and uneducated rhetoric the better. Now I can only wish she stop making appearances all together.

Declined because she may actually have a conversation or make a speech that, even though it's thought to be a friendly audience to her, she would be found out to be an idiot. The longer she stays in protected and scripted environments the longer she can keep people thinking she has substance... which she doesn't. She'd prefer to stay behind her junior high style tweets and facebook postings throwing jabs and arrows in soundbite doses than to be required to interact with real people.

If she's unwilling to show for this gig, it means only 1 thing: they weren't willing to pay her enough to appear. She's a celebrity, and celebrities don't come cheap. The "fact she has expressed interest in running for president and nearly every other likely 2012 candidate will be there", has nothing to do with anything. $arah has no interest in holding elected office, see the governorship of Alaska. Her current gig(s) pay so much better.

You want $arah, show her the $$$$.

And, if by some great miscarriage of justice, no one else sees the true brilliance behind either of my candidates, I'll throw my support to Levi Johnston.

She just doesn't want to face cameras and questions she doesn't understand. That is why she won't show up to these things. If she can just say her bit and leave without questions, that is what she wants because that is all she can handle.

Palin is NOT running for President. She's banking in from those who THINK she is and then she will JUMP SHIP later and blame it on her family – "They don't want me to run!!!" Those of you who cannot figure this out are BLINDED by her “so-called” beauty (white right men) and/or BLINDED by her feistiness (SOME right white women)!!

The other option is to have her quit half way through her speech.

Bottom line is the fact she is begging to become expose on substance, and therefore really has nothing to say with any real value to contribute to this country other than the red meat to her core base.

She gets more attention from the media because she has declined. It's a game all high school girls play, called "hard to get." After all, Sarah really has a high school mentality and by refusing to go, she is getting more attention than all of the other potential candidates who are attending. Keep covering her shenanigans. That's what keeps her going!

She can't hang and she knows it. Scheduling conflict? Doubt it very seriously. She's a lame loudmouth with nothing to offer.

She's not going to appear anywhere right now for fear of running into people that might, dare I say it, ask her questions she can't answer (which would equate to most of the questions asked of any candidate).

She will attempt to walk right up the GOP primaries and go it without any up-front vetting by anybody – and she can get away with it because she's already a known entity. Can't you imagine the "slating" she's going to get from the other candidates of the party of old, angry, white men?

Can this mean she is exiting the public stage, we can only hope.

CPAC organizers have got to be relieved that she is not attending. Her being there would take away what little credibility these people have to begin with. Anything that she is involved in nowdays is seen by the public as a wacko meeting.
