Bristol Palin to run for office?

(CNN) – Forget about Sarah. The next Palin to hold elective office just might be Bristol Palin.

The famous daughter of the former vice presidential candidate told E! News she "probably" will run for office some day if a pressing problem needs to be addressed.

"If I saw something that needed to be changed, then I would step up to the plate and do something about it," the former dancing with the Stars contestant said.

As for the other politician in the family, the younger Palin is urging her mom to run for president.

"I think she would be a wonderful president, and I still think that she should run," Bristol said. "She's just so common-sense conservative….just, 'Here's what we've gotta do and this is how we're gonna do it,' and she brings a whole 'nother aspect to politics because she's a mom, because she runs a household, and I just think she's really smart."

  1. REALLY???????

    Dear CNN,

Please stop extending the Palin's 15 minutes of shame–I mean fame. Advertising Bristol's idea of running for office one day isn't helping the country get rid of this family of morons. If you're going to cover a political family that has class and intelligence, start writing more articles on the Obamas, or at least ANYONE ELSE. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    An Angry CNN subscriber

What a joke. This family needs to simply go away. They have proven their lack of public support. Everyone watch, they will waste the countries time, money and resources by running for a political office.

It's time for an unofficial "CNN" poll here on the ticker because I'm beyond sick of the Palins and embarrassed on behalf of all Americans that the media keeps covering them. So, here's the poll. Vote for one:

    A. I think the Palins have something valuable to contribute to the political discourse and encourage CNN to continue to cover them.

    B. The Palins have nothing of value to contribute to the political discourse or to society as a whole, and their continued presence is lowering our overall intellectual standards and damaging America's reputation abroad. They should do the country a service and disappear from the public eye entirely. To this end, CNN should discontinue coverage of anything "Palin".

LOL. Is it April Fools Day already? I dont think America needs another AIR HEAD who articulates in a maner of word salads. Spare us. CNN you are really getting on my last nerve with a Palin story everyday. No wonder that crazy momma grizly from Alaska wanted to trademark her name. You should pay her for every use as this is rediculous now. Furthermore, you should compensate America for insulting us daily with Palin dribble.

As if it's not bad enough that one famous for being famous is considered suited for Presidency, one who is merely a daughter of another famous for being famous is now considered suited for public office.

Unless the 'pressing problem' is how to make $ by being a unwed mother/high school dropout, I suggest she stay home. We already have a solution for that.

"she brings a whole 'nother aspect to politics because she's a mom, because she runs a household" come on, no comments on this? that's right, Sarah Palin, the first mother, and head of household to ever enter politics! I know, it gets lost in all the other stupidity.

  21. embarassed by reading

Do the Palins have no clue as to how trashy they talk and think? I am embarassed for them just reading the garbage they spout. Senior Palin can't form an articulate sentence to save her life. Junior Palin is no more than a puppy and someone should tell her to learn a little in life before opening her mouth. But, then again, considering her role model, what can you expect. It isn't uncommon that people with nothing helpful to say shout their empty opinions, it is unfortunate that these vapid women have been given a platform to shout from.

Hey CNN, there you go again. How can you even consider anything this trashy family says remotely fit to print? Its shocking that on most important issues around the world, you pride yourself on being the first to report. How is it that you then go "tabloid" with continuing coverage of this money grubbing family? Your slip is starting to show.

And btw, minimum requirement to be Govenor of Alaska is a HS diploma and a pulse. She's only 50% qualified.
