UPDATE: Kyle will announce he is retiring.
Washington (CNN) – Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Arizona, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate, will announce shortly whether he will retire from his seat, a source close to Kyl tells CNN.
Kyl will hold a news conference in Phoenix at 12 p.m. EST to reveal his plans.
There has been widespread speculation about whether the three-term Republican senator would seek another term, and he said recently he would make his announcement this month.

Sen. Kyl -aka- Mr. Obstruction, if knew what was best for him, he will retire. The way he held the middle class hostage during the lame duck session, he will have a hard time getting reelected.

I can only hope this man does decide to retire. Arizona is in desperate need of fresh faces. Kyl has done next to nothing for our state, just like McCain. Our state has been run and represented by Republicans for decades, to its detriment, we need some good Democrats in office to help turn this state around.

Isn"t this the moron who was blaming President Obama for what was happening in Egypt because he did not push for democracy in the middle east, especially since it was such a success in Iraq and Afganistan.
