CPAC: Bachmann sets high goal

Washington (CNN) - Tea Party favorite Michele Bachmann of Minnesota used her keynote address at CPAC to issue a charge to the ever cheering crowd: "Win the Triple Crown."

"We need to win the Triple Crown in 2012, which is holding onto the House, winning a conservative Senate and oh yeah baby, winning the White House," the Minnesota Republican congresswoman said.

"We must make Barack Obama a one-term president" was the line that received a standing ovation and the biggest round of applause.

She congratulated the group for prying "that big gavel out of Speaker Pelosi's hands," but said a conservative Senate, not just a Republican Senate is the next necessary accomplishment because "your future is personally tied into the results of the next election."

"After this weekend we need to start focusing on step two of taking the country back," Bachmann said. "As much as we're patting ourselves on the back this weekend, now it's step two."

Yeah, and while you are at it, try keeping some of those campaign lies, err, I mean promises. You know, the ones about jobs being the first priority? Instead of the "We just got elected, so now let's focus on staying here...".

Is this what leading the country has come to? Just trying to make the president a one term president – and THAT gets a standing ovation? I guess bashing the current leaders is the only way to get noticed...

Take the country back? Where did it go? Last I looked it appears to be back on track after the Bush era or destruction. We, we, we, we the Republicans want to win the triple crown. How else can we take care of our rich freinds and protect them from the poor and middle class of america. What is it that makes people vote Republican? It can't be their intelligence. They're nothing but a bunch of whining hypocrites.

If not before, it`s NOW painfully obvious in these Repubs are only concerned with power (Presidency), NOT jobs. Ever wonder what happened to all the JOBS rhetoric spewed before the election? ---–Now that they have the House, they seem to be avoiding the subject.

so she sets a high goal – I guess when the bar is so low to begin with anything looks like a high goal.
before one can set high goals there are a few elements needed, intelligence, integrity, honesty, compassion, did I mention intelligence

Now here's another Sarah Palin in the making. She lays in bed at night thinking what can I do to get famous. Oh, I know think and act like that idiot Palin. It worked for her. I can incite hatred and fear into America if she can do it. Wait, Bachmann has already tried this. Maybe she's not doing it right.

Move over Newt and John and Huck.
    Sarah Palin has more grit
and drive than all the others.
    McCain cost the GOP the
    White House last election.
Everybody just get the heck outta
the way and let Sarah fill the
    stadiums and win in 2012.
    Palin and Mitt.

Bachmann’s appeal is mostly to those who believe in lies and fairy tales. Unfortunately, we have more than our share of ignorant and naive people in this country. Many of them are dangerous right wing and religious fanatics from the middle ages with twisted and outdated views on just about everything. Unfortunately, with the help of the media this bimbo is getting a lot more attention than she deserves.

The GOP is a horse that needs to be euphanised. They are against America. They want to take us back to the pre civil rights era.

These people all all chat and nothing else. None of these people can show a true and honest plan on how they can do
any better than Obama and the Democrats to fix any of the problems. Top economists on all levels agree that Obama is
doing all he can and that he is on the right track. But it will take time. These nut cases only want to be back in Power. They are afraid that Obama is trying to take from the rich andgive to the middle class/poor. That is not so, thy are so wrong
there is no quick fix and we cannot keep going back to the GOP nonsense. When you ask the GOP and TEA Party people to show you their plans and cuts to bring the economy back they all dance around like snake. Show us the plan regardingthe deficit that you talk about so often. Where is the Plan????They are just talking point.
plan? Nothing, zero, zilt...naught... empty barrels makes the most noise.

How about coming up with something that will help the economy first, before setting more goals for the party that ran with the slogan "Country First" in 2008? Republicans could not even come up with a 100 billion reduction in spending they promised in 2010. They must have realized that restoring spending to 2008 level does not even cut spending by 100 billion

If the Republicans somehow manage to win the House, Senate and the Presidency I believe the 2012 prediction of the end of the world as we know it, will have come true. Scary.

"We must make Barack Obama a one-term president" because we sure as heck would not want to move the country foward says Bachmann. "we want to take the country back" to the good old days of Bush when the economy was perfect and there was 0 unemployment and no wars and middle class lived the American Dream. Republicans have no desire to move the country forward, no desire to create jobs, there only mission is to take the successful blackman out of the Whitehouse so they can sell America to the corporate elite.

Typical of todays lost GOP. NO ideas, NO plans, NO better way of doing things, just get power, get money, get control. The last time they had the "triple crown" the results where a disaster, same with the time before that. Now they MUST get control and go back to the same failed idiology that is already a proven loser. You cannot have a well run government by electing people that do not think such a thing is possible. With these people in power it will never work.
