Biden, McConnell appearing together

Washington (CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will share a stage Friday morning.

Biden is scheduled to speak at the McConnell Center's spring lecture series at the University of Louisville.

The Kentucky Republican will introduce Biden. Although the two are on opposite sides of the political spectrum, they were longtime Senate colleagues before Biden was elected vice president in 2008.
