Washington (CNN) - President Obama will meet with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and other business leaders when he visits San Francisco Thursday, according to a source familiar with the arrangements. The topics will be promoting American innovation and the president's stated commitment to new investments in research and development, education and clean energy according to a White House official.
But at Wednesday's first press briefing by new White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, reporters wanted to know if Zuckerberg and the president might discuss Facebook and the role of social media in the Egyptian revolution and similar unrest in other North African countries. Carney's answer: "the purpose of the discussion is on innovation. You know, obviously, other topics could come up."
Will Governemnt get buddy buddy with Facebook like they are with Google? That is the question.
um, ok Mr. President. This man continues to amaze me with these interesting meetings. He's clueless.
