Palin talks 2012, mocks Michelle Obama

Woodbury, New York (CNN) - Sarah Palin addressed a variety of issues Thursday at a gathering of business officials in Long Island, New York including her 2012 plans, first lady Michelle Obama, President Obama's proposed budget, the crisis in Egypt, and her feelings on the media.

Here's a snapshot of what she had to say:

On her 2012 ambitions:
"I am still thinking of leading this country. I am still thinking about it. I haven't made up my mind. We hired a chief of staff because Todd is getting tired of doing it for me."

When asked who else she might envision at the top of the GOP ticket Palin responded, "No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman."

She then began reciting from her resume, listing her experience as a mayor and running for Vice President.

"What I would look for in terms of character is someone who's been on the front lines, who understands how to administer, how to lead a team, how to run a business."

On Michelle Obama:
"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling people to breast feed their babies, because the price of milk is rising so high."

She then warned the dozens of reporters at her question and answer event, "That better not be the takeaway here."

On the threat from the Muslim Brotherhood:
"We have to be sure a group like the Muslim Brotherhood isn't invited in to take over," she said. "The Muslim Brotherhood believes in sharia law."

"If they're radical enough to have already spoken against liberties and freedom is this good for Egypt and their freedoms?" she also said.

Palin also criticized the Obama Administration for appearing to flip-flop on Egypt.

"There was so much confusion about where our administration was," Palin said. "I won't condemn them for adding to the confusion, but the American public does deserve to know whose side we're on."

On the media:
Asked her about a recent Gallup Poll indicating more than 50 percent of those surveyed have a negative opinion of her, Palin responded, "In a lot of those polls I get my butt kicked."

"The poll you're referring to was taken after the Tucson tragedy. I don't think I ever went through more negative press than after Tucson," she said.

"How else does the public know you except through the press? When the press reports things that have really misrepresented my record as a council member, mayor… and what you stand for and who your family is," Palin continued, pointing to her reliance on Twitter and Facebook for public communications.

"I can't rely on a liberal-leaning press to do that for you. That's why social media will be so important."

On the president's budget proposal:
President Obama's budget plan will take the country "on the road to ruin," Palin said.

"What the people of America are saying is, 'enough is enough no more status quo we don't want to continue deficit spending.'"

"Tone deaf politicians they're going to be fired and they're going to be replaced in the next election cycle if they don't pay attention," said Palin.

"What I would look for in terms of character is someone who's been on the front lines, who understands how to administer, how to lead a team, how to run a business."

I don't know if she really knows how to run a business but I know from watching her over the last few years that she has no idea how administration works. If this woman decides to make a bid for president I will enjoy watching her get ripped to shreds over things like not bothering to complete a term as governor or her state.

Why do we as women allow woman as dumb as Sara Palin be the examples we present to the world? There are so many better choices out there but it always seems that the ones we see the most are the worst of us. Both Michelle Bachman and Sara Palin need to disappear and give more intelligent and more qualified woman a chance to really make this country great.

What a minute, this is the republicans we're talking about!! Never mind, you will not find an intelligent person in the entire group. They want to start "FIXING" our country by cutting Education!!! That's the Republican motto – cut education so we only have stupid people out there who will beleive only what we tell them to keep us in office.

Here we go again. I hope she does run in 2012. It will be a landslide victory for President Obama.

"No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman." Palin left out one word there – "SMART" – which excludes her. God forbid she should get anywhere near the White House.

Nothing of substance. Egypt is evolving without great violence, it is proven science that breastfeeding has benefits, and as far as her experence....she is not smart enough to know what it is that she does not know. DANGEROUS!

This idiot actually makes George W. Bush look humble and intelligent. She's "thinking" about leading this country? Please... There are an awful lot of people who are going to have something to say about that. You remember that we do have elections in this country, right princess? Go ahead and run. It will be a pleasure to watch Obama wipe up the floor with you and your Tea Party ilk.

People like Palin should be locked away from the public. Her mouth is always running. She evidently can't muti task because she couldn't be Gov and make money on the side. Also her husband must be a quitter as she has new staff leader. Would someone please check her birth cert.

palin just can't seem to mind her own business about world things goingf on in the world. uless she or her familly are ready to put on and serve in the armed armed services than she has to understand that what happens in eygpt is not our business. it would seem that she thinks that getting another country to do what we want is a waste of time unless you intend to go to war to make it happen. republicans think they run the world. the middle east wars of nation building that were pushed by the republican party have cost this country almost $4 trillion dollars so far! its no wonder to me that the federal budget is out of control and we have no money left for things we need at home. i am one american who has never been afraid of the middle east because they seem to think they can take on us with little sticks when we could make the intire middleast nothing but a molding glass plate in less than a half hour.

Michelle Obama has more class and brains in her little toe than imbeciler Palin has altogether. I suspect the media is cleaning up her inane language and malapropisms to make 2012 interesting. If so for shame! Let us see the real idiot for who she is so we can get on with evaluating serious candidates

It would be interesting watch her debate President Obama. Unlike the single VP debate, there are no note cards used in the Presidential debates. She spent most of the time at the VP debate shuffling her cards around and making a last minute effort to memorize what was on them.

My god this woman is a mess. Sarah, take your self-absorbed, narcissistic, quiter, liar, ignorant, delusional fat butt back to Alaska and stay there. The percentage of people who believe you unfit for office has grown since the lastest poll. Over 50% of Americans now have an unfavorable opinion of you. 30% more consider you so emotionally unstable that they believe you need to be committed. An additional 5% believe you're not an American or even human, but were born on another planet. Show us your birth certificate, Sarah! Show us you're human and not just a badly-programmed Cylon knock-off.

Michele Bachman and Sarah Palin are so predictable, it is obvious they plan to target Michelle Obama every chance they get just waiting for her to take the bait. Michelle Obama is more classy than either one of these poor excuse for a woman could ever hope to be. Michelle Obama must be doing something right or else they would not be coming after her, but what goes around comes around!

She's still thinking of leading the country?! Please. All we ever hear from Mrs. Palin are insults and sarcasm. She shows no ability to lead and no grasp of issues and certainly does not discuss possible solutions. She couldn't even attract votes at CPAC. I trust that the GOP at some point will get behind a real candidate, but it isn't likely to be Sarah or Michelle or Newt.

Since when do responsible mothers feed their newborns COWS' MILK? She must not know what that does to babies. Has she heard of baby formula? Most young mothers buy baby formula until their babies can drink milk. She harbors much hate for an
intelligent Michelle Obama, and is blinded by her prejudiced ways.

Somebody oughta clue this clueless woman to the fact that, if she's going to run for President, she'll have to run against Barack, and not Michelle.

I like how her comments mirror comments that other GOP candidates have said. She probably didn't even know who the Muslim Brotherhood was before she read it on a headline some where, and or that they DO NOT WANT to be in power. And as far as attacking Mrs Obama, there is no need for that, at least she is trying to turn this countrys dietery problem around. Something that will affect us in the future. I don't see her also proposing anything as far as what she would fund, or cut in spending if she was Presidnet. It's so easy for her to talk of how everything is wrong, but yet she doesn't offer any solutions for anything.
