Palin talks 2012, mocks Michelle Obama

Woodbury, New York (CNN) - Sarah Palin addressed a variety of issues Thursday at a gathering of business officials in Long Island, New York including her 2012 plans, first lady Michelle Obama, President Obama's proposed budget, the crisis in Egypt, and her feelings on the media.

Here's a snapshot of what she had to say:

On her 2012 ambitions:
"I am still thinking of leading this country. I am still thinking about it. I haven't made up my mind. We hired a chief of staff because Todd is getting tired of doing it for me."

When asked who else she might envision at the top of the GOP ticket Palin responded, "No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman."

She then began reciting from her resume, listing her experience as a mayor and running for Vice President.

"What I would look for in terms of character is someone who's been on the front lines, who understands how to administer, how to lead a team, how to run a business."

On Michelle Obama:
"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling people to breast feed their babies, because the price of milk is rising so high."

She then warned the dozens of reporters at her question and answer event, "That better not be the takeaway here."

On the threat from the Muslim Brotherhood:
"We have to be sure a group like the Muslim Brotherhood isn't invited in to take over," she said. "The Muslim Brotherhood believes in sharia law."

"If they're radical enough to have already spoken against liberties and freedom is this good for Egypt and their freedoms?" she also said.

Palin also criticized the Obama Administration for appearing to flip-flop on Egypt.

"There was so much confusion about where our administration was," Palin said. "I won't condemn them for adding to the confusion, but the American public does deserve to know whose side we're on."

On the media:
Asked her about a recent Gallup Poll indicating more than 50 percent of those surveyed have a negative opinion of her, Palin responded, "In a lot of those polls I get my butt kicked."

"The poll you're referring to was taken after the Tucson tragedy. I don't think I ever went through more negative press than after Tucson," she said.

"How else does the public know you except through the press? When the press reports things that have really misrepresented my record as a council member, mayor… and what you stand for and who your family is," Palin continued, pointing to her reliance on Twitter and Facebook for public communications.

"I can't rely on a liberal-leaning press to do that for you. That's why social media will be so important."

On the president's budget proposal:
President Obama's budget plan will take the country "on the road to ruin," Palin said.

"What the people of America are saying is, 'enough is enough no more status quo we don't want to continue deficit spending.'"

"Tone deaf politicians they're going to be fired and they're going to be replaced in the next election cycle if they don't pay attention," said Palin.

Depending on social sites to campain will only reach those already on the shrinking palin wagon. It will not rally new support.

Sarah Palin is critical of everything President Obama does but does not offer any constructuve alternative policies. This is not leadership. I will be the first to compliment any major Republican politician who has the courage to say what needs to said: Sarah Palin is simply not qualified by basic inteligence, judgement, and temperment to be considered as a presidential candidate. Would we have wanted Sarah Palin to be president during these sensitive times? I think not.

Just love her quals - Mayor of a town as big as a pimple, 1/2 term governor of one of our least populated states, NS administrator of what exactly?? Poor thing, she really is convinced she has the qualifications. Truly, I would just love to see her debate some serious candidates. It would definitely be worth watching...for the laughs!

When will she just go away??? Totally unelectable. A total neo-con in a patriot wolf costume.

Reading this is like listening to a four year old tell you what they think their life will be when they grow up… I will live in castle and be married to a prince with a white horse and have 25 pet bunnies… It is cute when a small child lives in a fantasy world. When it is an adult, it is just absolutely sad. At this point she could not be re-elected as governor of Alaska. Which, by the way, I fully expected her to attempt after all those ‘frivolous’ law suits were settled. After all, wasn’t that why she quit?

Funny how she neglected to mention that she quit her job as Governor of Alaska after only half a term and has never run a business. And somehow being mayor of a small Alaskan town is a more impressive resume achievement than running the whole state for (only) 2 years.

She couldnt even finish her governership of alaska (incompetent)... mcain choosing her as his running mate doomed his already doomed campaign even worse because of her rambling un political diatribe.. She lied about the democratic "death panels" while her side of the isle is talking about cutting medicare... without medicare many grannys and grandpas will actually be harmed.. poor press shy palin. The republican primaries are going to very interesting

"No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman." Can you imagine if a man said that about men? Well, I'm all for having a woman president; just not this woman–now or ever.

Is this woman incapable of saying that a Democrat did anything right? Obama's economic plan resembles Dloe, GHW Bush or ROmney more than it does Clinton, yet all she says is that the plan will ruin the US. Does she not read?!?!?

As for our message to Egypt, it is very easy to condemn, when one does not ahve to act. While Mubarek was not an ideal leader. But he did honor a US brokered peace treaty for 30 years. Egypot was an ally in the fight for Israeli rights. Egypt posed no threat for international terrorism. And while the administration was clearly corrupt, I suspect that if you look – worldwide – it was no more corrupt than half the governments. Ultimately, there was no guarantee that Mubarek woudl step down, or even be forced to. Had the US demanded him out – like we have any right to demand anything – then we woudl have been alientaing no less than 30% fo the population of Egypt. Some estimates are that as much of 70% of Egypt supported Mubarek, if one counts the rural farmers, etc.

Maybe she did not notice, while tweating – that an oppressive regime was toppled, without any anti-American slogans, or signs, or effigies. Perhaps she did not notice that we did not have to spend $700 billion, and 2000 American lives, like we did in each of the two wars we currently fight.

The best way to move the US $1.3 trillion closer to being in the black? How about turning the clock back, and putting the $1.3 trillion spent in Iraq and Afghanistan back on our balance sheet? Because it is now clear that the world does not need US military spending, to topple an oppressive regime.

WTH!!.... "That better not be the takeaway here."...THEN SHUT YOUR FRICKIN TRAP! If you don't want anyone to report on the fact that you are taking cheap shots at the First Lady for NO REASON WHATSOEVER (since she hasn't done anything to Palin or Bachmann to deserve their nasty digs), then don't take cheap shots...Didn't your mother ever school you on what to do if you don't have anything nice to say??...I really do believe now that Republicans have purposefully enlisted Palin and Bachmann in an attempt to get the First Lady to speak out or lash out in defense of herself, so that they can say, "See, look at the angry black, America hating woman" They know that she has high approval ratings and will be a great asset to Pres. Obama on the campaign trail. So they are doing anything they can to try to bring her (or her approval ratings) down...Don't fall for it First Lady! Leave those two harpees to their negativism. It will come back to bite them soon enough.

Sarah Bonehead is about the Silliest and STUPIDEST woman ever to feign entering into Politics...
She is a MILF that is so "UN-SAAVY" regarding the smallest detail about how to conduct herself professionally in the Political arena, and the only thing SCARIER is that thousands of "home-spun" morons, who think it is better to know NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING, might vote for this FOOL. She say stupid things, and echos the sublime Racist attitudes that her other Republican counterparts spew against PRESIDENT OBAMA. I'm sorry Sarah,...I'm sorry that you lost (actually I'm not), and I'm sorry that you come from a world of yesteryear where "Black people and other minorities knew their place",...BUT GUESS WHAT: Minorities are fastly becoming the MAJORITY in the U.S., and TEENAGERS GET PREGNANT also..!
the world has changed my dear...
now let's see if you can also...
READ SOMETHING...other than your own Press!

LMAO For the right price, she'll show you a good time (at your political event)!! You will never see our first lady rock a Bump-It with a weave (bad hair extensions at that)!! SMH She looks like Charlie Sheen's new boo! LMAO And she look drunk as hell in that pic LOL!! Hey, Sappy Palin, How is the Christian values-thingy-working for ya?!?!?

And who keeps paying to hear Bristol speak about abstinence?!?!? Dear Republicans – Bristol is a teenage mother, who CURRENTLY has a live in boyfriend!! She's NOT ABSTINENT!! DUHHHHH You want less spending, then stop spending your money on idiots who know nothing of which they speak (Like Bristol and Sappy)!!! Practice what you preach!!! That is all......

It amazes me that she actaully tries to boast about her political past as a "good" thing. In what world is quitting half way through a term to cash in on books and speaking engagements a respectable thing? Throw in a horrible tv show (TLC should be shut down) on top of it and we're supposed to take her seriously? Just once I'd like to hear her actual proposal to change things rather than simply putting down others and their plans. It is really easy to criticize the president while you're on a book tour. My advice....shut up Sarah and head back home to Alaska....then stay there.
