Palin talks 2012, mocks Michelle Obama

Woodbury, New York (CNN) - Sarah Palin addressed a variety of issues Thursday at a gathering of business officials in Long Island, New York including her 2012 plans, first lady Michelle Obama, President Obama's proposed budget, the crisis in Egypt, and her feelings on the media.

Here's a snapshot of what she had to say:

On her 2012 ambitions:
"I am still thinking of leading this country. I am still thinking about it. I haven't made up my mind. We hired a chief of staff because Todd is getting tired of doing it for me."

When asked who else she might envision at the top of the GOP ticket Palin responded, "No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman."

She then began reciting from her resume, listing her experience as a mayor and running for Vice President.

"What I would look for in terms of character is someone who's been on the front lines, who understands how to administer, how to lead a team, how to run a business."

On Michelle Obama:
"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling people to breast feed their babies, because the price of milk is rising so high."

She then warned the dozens of reporters at her question and answer event, "That better not be the takeaway here."

On the threat from the Muslim Brotherhood:
"We have to be sure a group like the Muslim Brotherhood isn't invited in to take over," she said. "The Muslim Brotherhood believes in sharia law."

"If they're radical enough to have already spoken against liberties and freedom is this good for Egypt and their freedoms?" she also said.

Palin also criticized the Obama Administration for appearing to flip-flop on Egypt.

"There was so much confusion about where our administration was," Palin said. "I won't condemn them for adding to the confusion, but the American public does deserve to know whose side we're on."

On the media:
Asked her about a recent Gallup Poll indicating more than 50 percent of those surveyed have a negative opinion of her, Palin responded, "In a lot of those polls I get my butt kicked."

"The poll you're referring to was taken after the Tucson tragedy. I don't think I ever went through more negative press than after Tucson," she said.

"How else does the public know you except through the press? When the press reports things that have really misrepresented my record as a council member, mayor… and what you stand for and who your family is," Palin continued, pointing to her reliance on Twitter and Facebook for public communications.

"I can't rely on a liberal-leaning press to do that for you. That's why social media will be so important."

On the president's budget proposal:
President Obama's budget plan will take the country "on the road to ruin," Palin said.

"What the people of America are saying is, 'enough is enough no more status quo we don't want to continue deficit spending.'"

"Tone deaf politicians they're going to be fired and they're going to be replaced in the next election cycle if they don't pay attention," said Palin.

Good grief – this woman just shows her ignorance every time she steps up to a mic. I really don't understand how she can command the following she does or why they would want her to lead this country. She's even more clueless than our last president. The only person who is worse than her right now is Bachmann. It makes me doubt the intelligence of a large number of Americans.

"We hired a chief of staff because Todd is getting tired of doing it for me." Being her chief of staff isn't the only thing Todd is tired of doing for her, hence his affair with that "massage therapist."

"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling people to breast feed their babies, because the price of milk is rising so high." Does this dimwit not realize babies should never drink cow's milk?

Once again, Palin displays her ignorance, and sophomoric behavior just by opening her mouth and letting the verbal vomit spew. She is truly delusional if she thinks she can lead this country anywhere but to a third world status.

What proposals does Palin have that make any sense, if any. She only criticizes but never has answers. Can anyone take her seriously. She was themayor of a very small Alaska town and quit the governorship. What kind of resume is that? Can't people see through her stupid rehtoric .?

For a person who doesn't care for the public press coverage, Palin sure seems to like being on camera.

If families are off limits, why does this woman and Michele Baughman constantly criticize Mrs. Obama. They are like the mean ignorant cliche of girls in high schools who bully and make fun of everyone else. Breast feeding is a safe and natural way of feedeing infants. Women in poverty need assistance in getting the equipment for breast feeding. It is certainly cheaper than all the bottles and formula. But then, Mrs. Palin and Mrs. Baughman never had to worry about money did they?

Uhh, Mrs. Palin, when you relying on or speaking only to conservative outlets and use Twitter and Facebook where you do not have to answer questions and can screen responses, this is not called "public communication", its called PROPAGANDA!!!

I have to agree with Video Guy; the Republican Brotherhood of Sarah, Michelle, Santorum, Boehner, Cantor, Limbaugh, Hannity, Malkin, Ingraham, Boorst, and McConnell represent a terrorist threat to American. All this time, I really thought the greatest threat was Beck's Bircher Bagger Brotherhood but it appears that hardly anyone listens to him anymore.

It takes a lot of class to go after the wife of a political opponent. If democrats had gone after Laura Bush this way (and aside from he perpetualr Stepford Wife smile, they didn't), there probably would have been an uproar. I mean, it's not like this first lady every killed anyone: http://www.inquisitr.com/11043/fact-check-laura-bush-killed-a-guy/

    Selective editing CNN?

She's been a successful two term Mayor/City Manager
Was the state's powerful Oil and Natural Gas regulator
Was the most successful and popular Governor in the country.

Her approval rating was consistently in the low 90s, high 80s.

She was Commander-in-Chief of the only permanently deployed National Guard as well a the Alaska Defense Force.

While serving as Governor, she was also the Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, an interstate agency that created best practices for energy exploration and environmental safety.

She's also run a successful business for decades.

Narcissism at its peak. I pray for the day she comes back on any ticket, to run for office where all the states are involved. It's the day she'll realize that, even Hu of China would gather more votes from the American citizens for the American presidency than herself.

She really is a goofball. Experience as a Wasilla councilman and mayor is just the experience the American people need. The only way to complete the picture is to have hot Michele Bachmann as her campaign manager and Christine O'Donnell as her vice-president.

    The tridumbvirate.
