Palin to travel to India

(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will be making a trans-continental trip to India in March to speak at the India Today 2011 conclave in New Delhi, Palin aide Rebecca Mansour tweeted Wednesday.

Palin, who is weighing a possible 2012 run for the Republican presidential nomination, is set to speak on March 19, delivering a keynote address on "My Vision of America." Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the 2008 vice presidential candidate questions, according to the conference program.

The conclave, organized by one of the biggest publishing groups in India, is an annual event named for the newsmagazine "India Today."

The conference attracts India's elite and covers topics that range from policy, regional diplomacy, business and economic and technology to social trends.

The 2011 roster will cover issues from "The Gender Dialogue: Can the burqua co-exist with the bikini?" to a session on "Politics and Ethics: Is honesty impossible in Indian politics?"

Other speakers and panelists include Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, feminist writer Germaine Greer, Indian actor Aamir Khan and Egyptian opposition leader and Nobel Peace laureate Mohamed ElBaradei.

Palin aides are not saying yet whether there will be additional overseas stops built around the India trip.

–CNN's Steve Brusk and Peter Hamby contributed to this report.

Till now it's was the intellectuals who visited that country. First time for a hillbilly. Hope she doesn't go there and say something utterly stupid or dishonor our president.

Why are articles about this idiot placed under "Political Ticker". She is nothing more than an "Entertainer", and articles about there should be under that heading.

Great....send a dingbat to another country to just show how stupid Americans have become. Couldn't they have picked an intelligent, educated, well-spoken, experienced American? How embarrassing for this country to have an oaf like Palin representing us. She doesn't represent anything of interest to me.

And it will cost US taxpayers $200 million per day. She will take along 2000 people and rent over 870 rooms at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel. In addition, the government is sending 1/3 of our naval fleet to protect us from ... her ignorant gaffes. This is all true because I made it up just now (hey, if it's good enough for Fox News, it's good enough for me too!).

Who cares? Why does CNN STILL report on Sarah Palin? She would be a nobody if not for CNN. She quit, she lost, she's not going to win, she is disliked by the majority of America. What does the woman have to do to be ignored and go away? Lots of people tweet things and take money to talk places. It's not news, and reporting it isn't journalism. The world has moved on, so should CNN.

Saran Palin you are all ready the happening stock of America, now you are trying to be the happening stock of the world. You shouldn't be able to talk to any Foreign leader because you don't represent American People, you are nothing you are not In the House , you are not a Senators and you are not a GOV. you ARE nothing but a citizen of the U.S. And that don't give you the right to talk to Foreign leader for America. You WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA, all you are doing Is making a Big fool Of you and making America look like a fool too. What you need to do Is craw back under the rock you came from and stay there. Saran Palin take the Hint American people don' want you for any PUBLIC OFFICE of any kind , not even dog catcher the dog would out smart you.

I've traveled to Florida but that doesn't make me a good candidate for Governor. Palin going to India and able to see Russia from her porch doesn't make her a good candidate for the highest political office in the USA. Remember, she quit her last political job. Not a good decision maker!

wow, is she trying to export her brand of stupidity and hate, it's about all she has to offer. I wonder if she will trash out President and our country while speaking in another country. I wouldn't be at all surprised, this woman would stoop to any level for a dollar, add some attention to the mix, and it's her idea of heaven. I suppose she has to start speaking out of the country, people here are sick of her, she's exploited this country for all she's going to get.

As an Alaskan I say who cares? She is no longer a threat to common sense. She is nothing to us but an immature woman who is about to enter the court system here in Alaska, both criminal and civil. She's done.

There goes all the good will Mr Obama has gained us in the past 2 years.
