Get used to signing A LOT OF SPENDING CUTS Obama!!! This is JUST THE BEGINNING of the first steps back to fiscal sanity. The American people have returned some semblance of sanity to the federal government. Much more to follow in 2012!!

I'm sure there will be more cuts but the problem is that they are not cutting the big ticket budget items and instead playing around with the little things trying to look good. DISGUSTING

It doesn't look like he is really pleased about losing $4 billion of budget to those penny-pinching Republicans. Remember those big smiles he would flash when he knew he was getting $837 billion from the Democratic House and Senate?

IF they are cutting from the small part of the budget in this manner than the larger ticket items also need to be not only cut but reformed as well. The tax code loopholes need to be written out for corporations and everyone should feel the hit because in the next 18mos if only the middle class continues to suffer there will be hell to pay come November 2012 for Democrats AND Republicans

i am getting tired of republicans claims that they know how to budget. ronald raegan spent this country brook in a arms race qith the russians and borrowed large amounts of money from the social sucerity account to pay for it! george w. bush borrowed $674 billion in just the last year in office to pay for his wars and nation building. he and the republicans borrowed most of the suplus for 2 wars and a big tax cut for the rich. the I.O.U.s in the social sucerity fund now are valued at $2.5 billion the republicans are the biggest robbers of the fund. the best part is that the republicans have talked americans into believing that the reason for the budget problem is "intitalments". raegan started this kind of thinking by spending the russians to a point of being broke. that worked so well that they have spent social sucerity broke to get it gone! george w. bush even with the money he borrowed out of social sucerity still added $4 trillion to the deficit. the republicans say that the constitution says that the federal goverment is required to pay for defense only and they are going to make sure that their is only enough money left to do it. the republicans who write in some of these comments can't seem to check the facts that are on the net they are using because they are to busy living an ideological dream. i am a baby boomer and want the republicans to pay back the I.O.U.s that my generation payed into the fund to take care of us in our retirment. the missing $2.5 trillion would fix the fund for many many years to come so balance that accout dear republicans you borrowed most of it!
