February jobs report: Unemployment falls again

New York (CNNMoney) - The jobs outlook brightened in February, as strong business hiring helped trim unemployment to its lowest level in nearly two years.

The unemployment rate fell to 8.9% last month, from 9.0% in January, the best reading since April of 2009. The unemployment rate has now fallen nearly a full percentage point in the last three months, the most rapid improvement in nearly 28 years.

Hey you republicans and tea baggers, if you have criticized Obama for things not going well in the past, have some cojones to praise him when things are going good. Its the decent thing to do. But then, er decency and tea baggers? never mind.

Re-elect Obama 2012 and lets move the country forward

Considering under the last three years of the Bush/republican debacle, we lost 8 million jobs, the economic indicators show we are on our way to recovery. (without any help from elected republicans, who, I am sure, will try to take credit even though their focus has been on abortion)

Obama will not receive any credit for this, it is only news when the unemployment rate goes up... The Repub's are pretty slick, they had the entire working class thinking they gave a danm... The Nov. elections were a scam, people voted all these Repub's in office and they just turned there backs on the working class.. Even if you don't like Obama you can not run from the fact he was right about the GOP. Working for the wealthy and Corporate America.. The GOP Senator from Wis. on National TV called the protestor Slobs, I hope people remember this in the next election cycle.....

The Dems and other Progressive groups seriously need to start hammering this point in the media. Considering how bad the economy was when Obama took over, this is great news and we cannot let the Republicans try to put any sort of negative spin on this.

Republicans don't want improvement in unemployment as it hurts their chances in 2012. With all that is going on in Wisconisn right now with the unions, we have a real opportunity to send the Republicans back to a deep minority next year where they belong.

Imagine how good our recovery could have been if the worthless elected republicans had actually tried to help in our recovery from the Bush/republican near depression, instead of fighting our president every step of the way.

WARNING...look for the Republicans and their supporters who have been critical of practically EVERY jobs report since Obama took office, start coming out trying to take credit for the improving jobs picture since they now hold the House. Then maybe it's because they won the House in 2010 they told their CEO buddies that it was ok to start hiring again.

Unemployment down to 8.9, The DOW over 12000 I guess that the Presidents plan is working. This will make the GOP's head spin. The old saying is you have to spend money to make money. You can't gut & cut everything when the economy is starting to pull back out of the mess that we were in in 2008. The Tea Party was wrong and yet their little whiny green peas will do everything to derail the economy. The GOP does not care about middle class America and they will do everything in their power to stall the economy for the sole pupose of getting back into the White House. The problem is that they have no solutions, they have no candidate that offers solutiions. They can only criticize and spin misleading information.

President Obama seems to be the ONLY adult working towards a better America, and it's beginning to show. The economy is picking up, and hopefully this new trend in unemployment continues throughout the year. The rest of Congress are acting like nothing but immature children all dressed up in mommy and daddy's Sunday go to meeting clothes, hoping to make as much noise as necessary to get attention, but offering little in progress or improvement.

Thank you Obama and Democrats for putting a dent in the Bush-Republican-made, middle-class killing economic disaster!

Now watch un-employement go back up as the GOP job-killing, middle-class-killing, reckelss spending cuts go into effect.

Great news, jobs are always the lagging indicator. We need a couple of months of this. This is also the 9th month in a row that public sector has shed jobs – also a good sign. All the hiring is on the private side.
