(CNN) - Actress Julianne Moore will portray former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in a new film about the 2008 presidential election, HBO announced Wednesday.
Moore, a four-time Oscar nominee, has been tapped to play the folksy former vice presidential candidate in an HBO Films adaptation of "Game Change," journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann's 2010 best-selling book detailing the inner workings of the historic 2008 campaign.
HBO said its film will focus on McCain's losing campaign, including his last-minute pick of the then-little known governor of Alaska as his running mate.
Time Warner is the parent company of CNN and HBO.
I am tired of the media referring to Palin as "folksy". She is not folksy, she is MORONIC!
They already made a movie about a mega disaster. It was called Titanic.
I must see this it will be a preview of our next president we obviously cannot do any worse than the bozo in the white house currently
A movie about her is not needed, America is so sick of her it's unbelievable. She's the Edith Bunker of America.
Tina Fey does her better, since Sarah Palin is such a joke in the first place.
GEEZ<and I thought Palin went into hiding.Wished she would stay there.
Well, every actress and actor needs to play a villain somewhere in their career. Looks like Julianne Moore chose wisely.
I guess Palins popularity became public hilarity
too bad Leslie Neilson is unable to play McCain and Tina Fey play Palin. A missed Hollywood opportunity. .
Palin is prettier. And smarter.
So an Oscar winning actress to play this so called "irrelevant twit" huh? if the "labels" were in fact true, Palin would be ignored. Too bad for the left, the real Palin is a badas* who clearly drives them crazy.
How About joe 6 pack? he does stunt work too...the more he drinks the more reality sets inn ....2nd...
choice Snookie...3rd choice...yepp..you guessed it...ElizAbeth Hasselbeck! the other Doublement Palin Twinn....lets be real about this ...Alaska Shores..ya betcha!
Why not have Palin play Palin? She isn't doing anything since quitting the job she was elected to do. She's a master of the ignorance and hypocrisy needed for the character.
