Justice Dept. asks court for speedy review of health care reform law

Washington (CNN) - A U.S. appeals court has been asked by the Justice Department to speed up consideration of the sweeping health care reform law's constitutionality.

The request followed a ruling by a federal judge in Florida in January declaring the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be legally invalid.

Hey let's give the people what they want, since the health care law is the only industry hiring month after month, when the courts ruled against this, I guess the American people better hold on to their hats, for a deep ride to the bottom of the old shaft again, sometimes the president have to just give the people what they want, even though he knows disaster is ahead, but he have to realize he cannot compete with the repugs and their rich friends, when they are determine to bring this country down, so he can be a one term president, one good thing, we would get rid of the kkk, I mean tea baggers, when the black man is gone, America can return to it's old, Trikle down economics, in a global economy, I hope the American people will get enough of the scraps to get by

The people would ask for a speedy rejection of the law, as unconstitutional, and unenforceable.

Here we go again, auto insurance is only required if you own a car & drive it, are still making payments on your car whether you drive it or not or you don't own a car but drive someone else's vehicle.

People shouldn't be in legal trouble, considered breaking the law, in trouble with the IRS if they chose not to buy a health insurance policy.

I doubt if all those screaming in favor of this law will actually run out to buy a health insurance policy, be in compliance with the IRS, they will be the first ones to nail their boss for it somehow or will find a trick to get the federal government to pay for them but they won't pay for it themselves. Do we really believe that all those screaming for this law to stay are dying to have the IRS involved in their lives?

The only ones winning $$$$$$$$ with this law are the health insurance companies.

"Islam emerges as key issue for GOP"

Have you been under a rock for an entire decade CNN? "Emerges"? Besides, why the heck do you think Peter McCarthy is holding his hearings now? The demagoguery, fearmongering, hate, islamaphobia, terrorism is hiding under your bed waiting to steal your underpants theme has worked brililantly for them with their scared, brainless, undereducated and overly religious base that wants to bend the Constitution over a chair and give it a hot Jesus injection. Please. This is no suprise. In fact, it's so predictable that anyone with a brain in their head should realize it doesn't even qualify as "news." Get ready for giant screens showing the horror of 9/11 during the 2012 GOP convention and myriad groups like Geller's and Gafney's ramping up the rhetoric of hate and fear in order to help the corporate puppet GOP party. Nothing would make their puppetmasters happier than finding a way to engage in more war games for natural resources in the middle east. NOTHING.

I agree. Get rid of that lobbyist-written corporatist giveaway to the healthcare and insurance industries and give us real reform: Single Payer. Like every other industrialized country in the world.

I can't believe it took a judge to order this. It is clear proof that the Obama administration does NOT have the best interests of the country at heart. If there is ANY question it should be resolved before we destroy our current healthcare system and cause the states to spend billions they don't have implementing this insane new government entitlement program built on an unconstitutional mandate to purchase a product.

DemoCommunists for a Better Way – Bankruptcy – Man, you should try the real world sometimes...
You know, the one in which CBO proved with data and numbers that the ACA will save money (and not 'bankrupt' anything).
The one that the most interested party in having all legal/Constitutional issues related to the ACA solved and resolved is the POTUS and his administration.
The one where we know where Scalia (and Alito) 's opinion will be, but at least the others Justices won't gonna spin the Constitution upside down in order to fit it in their beliefs so whatever they decide about the mandate stuff IS going to be something rational.
    That world, remember?

Never heard of GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT??? The CBO was not granted the luxury of questioning or refuting the MANY invalid assumptions and numbers they were given by the Democrats. So what has happened to the cost of healthcare since this travesty was passed? Can you say SKYROCKETED?!! And this is just the beginning. Why are so many companies and unions getting waivers to avoid complying with this insane law? Again, proof of its false asertions of saving anybody anything. Do you HONESTLY think we can provide free healthcare to 35 million people at no cost??!! if you do then I'm sure you closets full of snake oil at your residence.
