Obama calls Japanese Prime Minister Kan

Washington (CNN) - U.S. President Barack Obama called Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan on Friday to discuss the massive earthquake that hit the island nation and the tsunami that has lashed out in the Pacific.

    My thoughts and prayers are with the Japanese people and anyone affected by this devastating earthquake and resulting tsunamis.

    May the Almighty be with the people of Japan.
    Videos of the devastation are mind-boggling, and their is the distinct possibility that one of their nuclear plants may go up in flames.
    My prayers are with them all.
