Palin will visit Israel

(CNN) – Following in the footsteps of several other Republicans considering a presidential bid, Sarah Palin is set to make a stop in Israel following her Saturday speech in New Delhi, India.

“I'm thankful to be able to travel to Israel on my way back to the U.S.,” Palin said in a statement obtained by CNN. “As the world confronts sweeping changes and new realities, I look forward to meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu to discuss the key issues facing his country, our ally Israel.”

Palin last went overseas in December when she visited Haiti on a humanitarian mission. She also visited Kosovo and Germany in 2009.

Other potential GOP candidates to visit Israel in recent months include Mitt Romney, Haley Barbour, and Mike Huckabee.

A Palin aide declined to provide further details about the trip.

Sarah is currently being tutored by her aides on the history of Israel. They'll give her one final quiz on the flight there.

Like they say, spending a couple days hopping around the globe no more makes you a foreign policy expert than sleeping in a garage makes you a car ...

Ah, yes. Queen Sarah goes to Israel courtesy of her PAC contributions. Reminds me of Tim Pawlenty, who is also traveling the high road, using PAC donations to fund HIS meet and greet, and meet and greet, and meet and greet, new found life of leisure.

I hope Netanyahu, if he lowers himself to meet with her, realizes that she is meeting him as a citizen with no more authority than the one vote we all have.

I certainly hope the people of Israel don't think this idiot represents all of America. She is nothing short of an embarrassment to our country, so please don't take her seriously.

Why can't she just stay put and learn to read, write and talk correctly. This woman doesn't have a bit of common sense.

Why does she always speak as if she's reciting a book report? Besides being a race hater, she clearly lacks any advanced intellect and advanced communication skills needed to become POTUS.

Another sellout to Zionism. When this great country stops bowing to Israel and it's backers we will all be better off.

WTH? She holds no government office, she is a civilian with political aspirations, and she is to be granted time with the Israeli PM? Something is plain old wrong with this. Why can't the normal average person be treated in the same manner? I guess that her Intl. credentials are growing, she got a little bit closer to Russia, after she got to see Mexico from Arizona.

I wish these people had half as much concern for the US as they do for Israel. We'd be better off if they went there and stayed.

I hope she doesn't say something stupid while she is playing politics over there and make matters worse. She has a bad habit of talking before she thinks or without full knowledge of the topic. She isn't even a verified candidate for the Republicans yet so what is she doing over there anyway?

Why would the prime minister make time for her? It's not like she's a public official or official representative.

Why is everything Sarah Palin says so awkward? "his country, our ally Isreal" Was this her way of making sure we know that she knows that Isreal is a country and an ally? "Betcha" she's been studying maps and can find India on a globe.

Why bother, unless she's just looking to sightsee. The only way Palin will see the inside of the White House is if she takes a tour.
