Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama's campaign manager on Thursday urged deep-pocketed and well-connected donors to each pledge to raise $350,000 this year, a sign that the president could raise upward of $1 billion for his re-election.
The contributors were asked to raise the money during a Democratic Party meeting in the nation's capital, according to The New York Times, which first reported the story.
The donors could be asked to raise more money in 2012.
This isn't nearly enough because of the RIDICULOUS Citizens United ruling that allows even outside entities to contribute to the elections of the CROOKED GOP. Oil Companies, Banksters, the Koch Brothers, Karl Rove Inc and Billion dollar Corporation all willing to spending BILLIONS to continue their CROOKED thievery of the poor and the middle class. The Democrats have the Average Americans, hopefully George Soros and the depleated Unions. Just doesn't seem fair.
Obama can raise all the money he wants; if the economy is still bad (in addition to high unemployment and still falling housing prices, we now are dealing with high food and energy costs) it won't matter.
My $25 just brought the total down to $349,975....Yes We Can – BIG things come in small packages!!
Obama can NOT win in 2012, the American people know what he represents, don't want his agenda, won't vote for him, go ahead and waste your money.
$1Billion. Amazing. Add to that the fact all of his "campaigning" will be done on the taxpayer's dime. Obama crisscrosses America on Air Force 1 to spend $1 Billion on campaign. Simply amazing.
The President will have alot of money in his coffers this election season. Now all he needs to do is call out these fascists republican governors and stand behind the labor movement. If he does that, he'll get re-elected.
