Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (CNN) - He may not be ready for World Cup 2014 in Brazil, but President Obama showed kids in Rio de Janeiro he can do more than just dribble a basketball.
The president and his family watched kids playing soccer, known to the world as football or futebol in Portuguese, on a cement playground while visiting the "City of God" (Cidade de Deus) Favela.
I support and admire our president. There, I said it. Thanks, President Obama, for being brave enough to stand at the front of the line, and classy enough not to respond to the haters who trash you every time they open their mouths.
@ T' Sah – Sorry, forgot to answer your other question... It was easy to create a no fly zone because it took less than 24 hours to bomb their radar installations and there has not been one plane or helicopter that has taken off! That seemed pretty easy to me...
WHERE'S WALDO ? Sitting there bobbing his head like a pigeon listening to those kids, I'm reminded of Bush reading kiddy books while WTC is raging. This moron will go down as thee worst prez ever.
that is ridiculus
Perhaps the President was taking a recess from all that intensive jobs-hunting he's been doing down there? And probably not...
With friendly Arab nations falling to muslim extremism, late strikes in Libya (French in the lead), one of our closest allies hit by a huge earthquake/ tsunami and unemployment at 9% (or 17% depending on how you track it) its good to see President Obama take a trip with GE's CEO and other corprate buddies and catch a game of soccer in Brazil.
I think it is a good idea for our president to try rebuild the positive feelings about America, that we once enjoyed around the world, that is, until the Cowboy Diplomat destroyed it and made the US a laughing stock of the planet.
