
Washington (CNN) – Tim Pawlenty's going to be a busy man on April 15, the traditional tax deadline day. The former two-term Minnesota governor and probable Republican presidential candidate will speak at not one, but two, Tea Party movement tax day rallies.
The Greater Boston Tea Party announced Wednesday that Pawlenty will headline their third annual tax day rally, to be held in Boston Common, a park in the downtown section of the city.

(CNN) - Even freshman congressmen sometimes get the blues. Republican Rep. Sean Duffy told a constituent, "I struggle to meet my bills right now," at a town hall meeting in Amery, Wisconsin last week.
And when the questioner challenged his claim on the basis that Duffy makes "three times" his own salary, the congressman responded, "I guarantee most of you, I have more debt than all of you. With six kids, I still pay off my student loans. I still pay my mortgage. I drive a used minivan. If you think I'm living high off the hog, I've got one paycheck. So I struggle to meet my bills right now."

Columbus, Ohio (CNN) - In their bruising fight over collective-bargaining rights with Ohio's governor, police and firefighter unions have put their battle cry on a bumper sticker, "Help the Middle Class, Ticket Kasich."
The one-liner is a reference to a 3-year-old routine traffic stop that Gov. John Kasich would rather forget.

Washington (CNN) - A little car accident was not enough to stop Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia from making it to work on time Tuesday, and the 75-year-old jurist showed no effects on the bench of his earlier adventure.
Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg confirmed that Scalia was involved in a fender-bender while driving himself to the court on the scenic George Washington Memorial Parkway in suburban Virginia.

TOPICS: Favorable ratings for Democratic party, Republican party, tea party movement

Washington (CNN) - Nearly half of all Americans have an unfavorable view of the tea party movement, putting it in the same company as the Democratic and Republican parties, according to a new national poll.
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday indicates that 32 percent of the public has a favorable view of the two year old anti-tax movement, which also calls for less government spending and a more limited role for the federal government. The 32 percent favorable rating is down five points from December.
