Jesse Ventura: Palin will 'do what she's told'

(CNN)–Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura says Sarah Palin will be the GOP nominee for president in 2012, and she'll "be controlled by the status quo."

Appearing on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" Monday at 9 p.m. EST, the one-term Reform Party governor said that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is being groomed for the role, though he doesn't care who the presidential nominees are for either party.

"I'm an equal opportunity despiser," he stated in a post-interview green room Q&A, making his disdain for both parties known.

"It seems that elections today are more popularity than they are substantial issues and she'd be perfect because she's the type of person that certainly will be controlled by the status quo and the power structure, so she'd make a perfect candidate for them," the WWE wrestling Hall of Famer-turned-politician declared.

She is fine with someone writing her speeches! She chooses where, when, who and controls the exterior. Don't know who her writer is, but half of the stuff she can't even pronounce. Personally, I don't want my country handed over to this woman who could never handle even one of the problems this administration has!

That is a nonsensical statement. If anything everyday we see status quo politicians attack Sarah Palin. You can like her, or not, but she is anything but status quo and controllable.

  5. Jessie is probably wrong . . .

Palin is starting to become a bit boring, a bit "been there, done that", a bit stale. She still hasn't learned the language, e.g. "squirmish", "refudiate". By early 2012, she will more stale than three-day old beer. I hope I'm wrong and Jessie is right. I think SP can easily get 35 % of the vote and she even might win Mississippi, Alabama and the rest of the old south.

Told by who? I am no Sarah Palin fan by any stretch but this is an unfair insult. Is he insinuating that any President would "do as they are told shows what an idiot Ventura is. "do as she is told" what does that even mean?

One nut-job telling the world how to control another nut-job. Is this the future of politics?

She would have to be controlled by the status quo. Problem with that is, first thing she will want to know is "who is status quo?" She will have to be controlled more like a puppet because she will have to be told what to say and not say and how to say it. The only thing this woman about being President is that she would live in the White House and hunt from the balcony.

Jesse, you are absolutely right. Both parties are bought and sold by the banking and energy industries. Off topic, but you are also right about 911. The official story is completely bunk.

Jesse is a dope. No way Palin will be nominated. Republicans know that if she is that will be a sure 100% win for an Obama second term.. (((HOWEVER))), if she is then I will eat crow and apologize to Jesse and buy him a steak dinner.

Hasn't she had more than enough rope to hang herself already? No matter who "controls" her - Americans (the vast majority) are not that stupid.......... are they? God help us!

He's right. The billionaire Koch brothers that Palin works for will provide her scripts as usual. It's worked with their other employees, e.g. Cantor, Walker, Boeher, DeMInt. It hasn't worked as well with Bachmann. As the first special ed presidential candidate, there are more hurls for her than the Koch brothers can pay to go away.

    Is this guy a joke???

"she'll "be controlled by the status quo" "being groomed for the role"

Has this guy been sleeping under a rock? Even people who dislike Palin know enough about her to know that the GOP can't control her. They can't stand each other. The GOP is trying to stop her just like the corrupt MSM.

I don't think she will run, even as dumb as she is. she knows she wouldn't get anywhere. She will just string us around so she can keep profiterring from the mistake John McCain made.

Let Sarah be Sarah, so she will go down in flames and take both the GROPING OLD PERVERTS and the Toilet Bottoms with her – OBAMA IN 2012 and he will win re-election by 500 electoral votes. Sarah won't even carry Alaska.

And the ramblings of this brain damaged coot count as news exactly why???

It is almost as "not new" as the handfull of tea baggers who used their social security and unemployment checks to go to DC and demand that the 310 million people in America kow tow to their insnae desires. Love that they picked a completely arbitrary number for "deficit reduction" but now think that any number that is not the arbitrary number they picked out of their tea pot is somehow not meaningful or significant.
