Trump to address Tea Party rally in Florida

Washington (CNN) – Real estate mogul Donald Trump, whether he makes a run for president or not, is stepping up his political travels.

Trump's office confirms that he will address the South Florida Tea Party rally in Boca Raton April 16th, one of a number of tea party events planned around the country during the weekend before the tax deadline.

His appearance is the third event he plans to attend in early primary or caucus states important to the GOP. He will speak at the Iowa Republican Party's Lincoln Day dinner in Des Moines, and plans a June appearance at the traditional "Politics and Eggs" breakfast series in New Hampshire. Both are traditional stops for likely candidates.

The Florida event is the Tea Party group's 3rd annual Tax Day rally, planned for Boca Raton's Sanborn Square.

South Florida Tea Party Chapter chairman Everett Wilkinson said he expects Trump to discuss tax reduction, and "his thoughts about how to get our country moving again".

"In every poll the Tea Party had, Donald Trump came out number one," Wilkinson said in a message to supporters. "America is tired of politicians giving speeches. We want to hear from people that have proven business experience. This should be an exciting day for America."

Trump has also maintained a busy non-political schedule, including a motivational speech in Spain and regular appearances on his NBC reality television series "Celebrity Apprentice." Despite hints he could enter the GOP field and seek the 2012 nomination for president, he has also been added to Fox News' lineup as a weekly guest.

Trump special counsel Michael Cohen said he received 87 speaking requests for Trump Tuesday. Cohen founded the ShouldTrumpRun website that's not affiliated with Trump's company, and said that 84 of the 87 event requests were political.

At this point, anyone would be better in the oval office than who we presently have. We need real leadership, and not from congress. It needs to come from America's CEO. Btw, if you think the tea party is going away, hold your breath for the senate to stay democrat in 2012 while you're at it.

Trump finally has something exiting to do like running for Presidents, because he was just dying out of boredom. I am ready to be entertained as well.

His main qualification to be President is that he wears nice ties.

However, the US has never elected President someone whose hair looks like that. How could foreign countries take us seriously?

All the petty hatred spewed by the left at this man just makes regular folks like me think more highly of him. Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot.

This must be a joke right? All I have to say is that the GOP better step up and step up fast. There is no one on their list of canidates right now that could win.

the more I see what Trump is doing, the more I think it HELPS President Obama because it is turning off about as many people as it is getting interest. Many Republicans do NOT like it....this makes them look looney and even the likes of Karl Rove has said so. The GOP other than the far right have been trying to run from the birther issue, but with Trump bringing it back up it not only assured him a job at FoxNews but also that the POTUS may be having a 2nd term

So this is the third tax day outing for this bunch but we are supposed to believe that they came into being because of President Obama's policies? The President hadn't been in office for even 3 months yet, their taxes were no higher than they had been for the last 8 years so what what they are saying obviously can't be true. Just a bunch of poor losers who have decided that if it can't be their way they will throw a years long tantrum.

He should run. He will mess it up just enough for Obama to get re-elected. Isn't that what happened with Ross Perot?
    Run baby run.

So the ugly hair man thinks he can run for president because he also has a certificate of live birth? Just like the President!
I have never thought much of this fool as a businessman or a man in general. I have never watched his "another" reality TV program but the reviews remind me of a higher (if that is possible) version of the springer show.
In other words, just because he was born with money doesn't mean he has class. He is part of the reason why the middle class and the poor continue to be royally screwed by the rethugs!

I believe that anyone the GOP puts forth will put Obummer to bed in 2012, just wait as the worst is yet to come. We now have three wars, no budget, a looming government shutdown, trillions in debt, trillion in deficit, a 20% plus true under and unemployed rate and every day things just seem to get a little worse. Trump duped you all with a birth certificate just as real as the Usurpers and you are too stupid to even figure it out, just look at your comments, ludicrous and beyond hypocritical.
