Palin calls Obama actions 'appalling'

Washington (CNN) - Calling President Obama's handling of the budget showdown "appalling," Sarah Palin is adding her voice to GOP clamor that he is playing politics with the U.S. military in an effort to get his way on spending.

In a posting on Facebook Friday, Palin blasts Obama for his refusal to sign a Republican-backed bill that aimed to cut spending by $12 billion and fund the Pentagon for the remainder of the current fiscal year.

The president and Democrats opposed the measure because of the programs it would cut, including a provision that would prevent Washington, DC taxpayer money to be used to fund abortion providers.

But Palin charges the president's real concern is about funding such organizations as National Public Radio.

"Essentially, he's holding military funding hostage to NPR funding. This is a perfect analogy for what is wrong with this entire budget showdown," writes Palin. "Our federal government has strayed so far from what is constitutionally mandated that they are blind to the fact that NPR funding is not a constitutional duty. Funding our military at a time of war is!"

"It's about time the President step up to the plate and lead responsibly. Our troops who are putting themselves in harm's way deserve a Commander in Chief who is not AWOL from the debt debate," Palin continues. "The American people deserve a president who will take on the tough challenges and understand that funding 'Car Talk' is not as crucial as funding our troops at a time of three wars."

It is about time that this brainless bimbo shuts up and fade away from tinkering with politics for good. I don't think she even understands any of the issues that the nation is facing. learn something before you open your mouth.

This coming from a Tea Party backer that say SHUT IT DOWN? Come on Sarah "Man Up". Sounds like she is all talk. However, both she and her daughter get paid a lot of money for just talk. Maybe her daughter should have visited Planned Parenthood prior to getting knocked up. Just one more reason why we need to fund Plan Parenthood. Prevent teenage pregnancies.

Uh huh, and the GOP in no way shape of form is playing politics with the budget to try and roll back women's healthcare right? You are an unelectable trollop.

As usual, Palin talks big but thinks small. Car Talk would fund the military for how many minutes? Then what does she think she would do?

See? The GOTP spin machine is full gear. Rubio, Rove, Newt, and now Palin. They are trying to spin this into a double edge sword that adds up to "win-win". There are two paths to play the cover both a shutdown or a lack thereof.

A actual shutdown is spun into an Obama conspiracy to garner points in the polls. They need to counter act momentum gains from a shut down by nipping it in the bud. The GOTP is a victim, along with the rest of the American people.

Any budget deal is spun out as the heroic salvation for this country. Led by the freedom fighters of the GOTP. Without their help the country would have headed even more rapidly into a state of destruction than what it already is.

And, don't forget there are more battles to come. Bigger battles. Which means even more cynical spin coming from multiple fronts. Just watch. Watch how it all plays out, people.

This is a glimpse of the alternate reality that Republicans create and which their idiot followers live. House Republicans gave Obama and the Democrats only ONE POSSIBLE WAY to provide emergency funds to the Pentagon: by accepting $12,000,000,000 in cuts elsewhere. When they predictably refuse to accept those cuts, Republicans accuse them of "playing politics" and "holding the military hostage." The irony is unbelievable...the Republicans could have passed emergency funding for the Pentagon that didn't come with strings attached. It was Republicans that forced the cuts to be part of it. They're the ones "holding hostages." But what's the point in arguing about it? Their followers won't listen, they probably don't even understand what I've just said.

"Our federal government has strayed so far from what is constitutionally mandated that they are blind to the fact that NPR funding is not a constitutional duty. Funding our military at a time of war is!"

Then if NPR is not an issue then tell your friends to drop the nonsense that they know is blocking its passing, It goes both ways Palin, tell the repubs not to play politics with the military either.

You ignorant fool! You're one of the reasons I will NEVER vote for a Republican again after voting straight Republican for 40 years!

Seriously, Sarah? President Obama is holding the military hostage? What about the Republicans holding women hostage? It is against Federal law for Planned Parenthood to use Federal money for abortions so why are teh Republicans using this as a way to hold up signing the budget? Oh, and "..is not as crucial as funding our troops at a time of three wars." Two of these wars were started under Bush and as far I know, we are not at war in Libya. Please do some research before you start opening your mouth.

It's not Obama nor the Democrats that have made funding to our troops dependent on the removal of NPR funding, it's the Republicans; therefore, for any logical creature, it is the Republicans who hold hostage troops funding by demanding that those funds be disbursed pending the removal of social services. Shame on them!

Obummie has been hiding in the closet or under his desk and has not been involved in the budget process except the last 3-4 days. The budget should have been in place before last October. The repubs have a week extension that funds the military for the rest of the financial year that Obummie said he'd veto. Obummie said he isn't for federally funded abortions but that is what Planned Parenthood does. He is the liar in chief not the commander in chief

This woman's vitriolic hate spewing is terrifying. Everything I understand about the budget cut debate is that the GOP (and there's nothing grand about that old party) wants to cut Medicare and Medicaid. Just one more way of making the poor and middle class in this country suffer more while lining the pockets of rich taxpayers.
