Obama to lay out long-term deficit plan this week

Washington (CNN) - Fresh off last-minute budget negotiations that averted a partial government shutdown, President Barack Obama this week will lay out his plan for long-term deficit reduction demanded by conservatives.

White House Senior Adviser David Plouffe appeared on four Sunday talk shows to announce Obama's intentions and deliver the administration message that further deals like the one reached last Friday night with House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, will be necessary as Congress and the administration face more major budget decisions in coming months.

This is so funny. Obummie has been absent on spending cuts until the repubs pulled him out from under his desk kicking and screaming and force fed him 38.5 billion dollars in budget cuts from the 2010 budget or 78.5 billion from his 2011 budget that should have been in effect since last October. Obummie then submits his 2012 budget which adds to the deficit and Rep Ryan submits the repub budget which cuts over 6 trillion from the debt over 10 years. Now that Obummie is out from under his desk and he sees the American people are serious about the budget, he says I'll submit another one that cuts spending. PLEAAAASE!!!!!! Ryan and the repubs will take care of the country's finances Obummie. Get back under your desk.

Where were all of you economic geniuses ten years ago? Guess you were in the car with Thelma and Louise, with
Bush at the wheel and the only brakes available finally took hold only because his term ran out. "Ryan and the
repubs will take care of the country's finances..." Well, been there, done that, and President Obama is trying to
clean up the mess. Bush never vetoed a bill from congress the first six years he was in office. Don't tell us
about fiscal resposibility, it never happened back then.

When the GOP fillibustered every spending bill and every jobs bill for the previous two years, I don't believe they have any say about what should happen now. I'll NEVER vote republican again. All they do is call silly names and push to get women's rights overturned. Next, it will be men's rights.

@ GI joe.....glad to see you on here. The 2011 Obummie budget never came up for a vote last year. It wasn't held up by the repubs as the dumbocraps and Obummie didn't bring it up because of the elections last year. I wish they would have brought the budget up last year as the repubs would control both the senate and congress. As to women's right, does any one have the right to kill babies? And as to men's rights, I don't know what you are talking about except the San Fran community. They have all kinds of rights so go there.

Its sounds good this year budget we cut 40 Billion next year budget we will cut 80 billion
Republican budget sounds like this a business owner won’t cut his party (fun) money but he will cut his employees salaries and all the investment
We thorough 3 billion every week for re-building other nation what for us?

Republicans say last November Americans send us to do cut true Americans also expect smart cuts and use the commonsense

By they way republicans got nearly 30% of eligible votes last November so they ignore 70% view
