Trump to make announcement about announcement

Washington (CNN) – Proving once again that Donald Trump knows a bit about publicity, the business man and real estate mogul will make an announcement on the season finale of "Celebrity Apprentice" about his intentions on running for the White House.

On the final episode of the popular TV reality show, Trump "plans to give an announcement date" for his decision on whether he'll make a formal bid for the Republican presidential nomination, senior Trump adviser Michael Cohen confirms to CNN.

The season finale of "Celebrity Apprentice" airs May 22. In numerous interviews with CNN and other organizations, Trump has said he'll make a decision on a White House bid by June.

Trump is now tied with former Arkansas Gov. and 2008 GOP White House hopeful Mike Huckabee for first place when Republicans are asked who they support for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, according to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll that was released Tuesday. But while the survey indicates Trump has nearly doubled his support since a mid-March poll, it also indicates that more than four in ten Republicans say they would not like to see Trump toss his hat in the ring.

Trump has said he could spend hundreds of millions of dollars of his own money on a campaign for the presidency. Earlier this week he also told the Wall Street Journal that he might also make an independent run for the White House if he doesn't capture the GOP nomination.

This weekend, Trump makes his first political trip since he started talking of a possible run earlier this year, going to Florida to address a tea party Tax Day rally in Boca Raton Saturday. In June, Trump's scheduled to headline an Iowa GOP dinner and also make an appearance in New Hampshire. Those two states kick off the presidential primary and caucus calendar.

Trump has made numerous appearances on the cable news networks and other outlets the past two months, as he's increased his discussions of running for the White House, and has he's increased his attacks on President Barack Obama's performance in office.

He has also increasingly questioned whether the president was born in the U.S. and asks why Obama doesn't produce his birth certificate. In 2008, the Obama presidential campaign released a copy of the certificate, saying the serial number was blacked out for concern over Hawaiian procedure. Since then, many news organizations and the Annenberg Fact Check Project saw the original with the serial number, an embossed seal and a stamped signature.

Trump you've become a bigger joke than Sarah Palin.
I did not think that would be possible, but there you have it.

Wake up, people. He cannot use his television show to announce that he is getting into the race. He can pay for a television spot to do it, but he cannot use the show to make the announcement. He's looking for ratings. He might announce a candidacy at some point, but he would never follow it though to Election Day. This man has no love lost for the requisite financial disclosures.

I can care less when or where he makes his announcement. He can;t be taken seriously as a candidate.

CNN.com's quick poll recently showed Sarah Palin ahead of Trump. You would think that would send a signal to Trump that if more people favor the idiot over him, why would he bother spending his money to run for POTUS?

Must be nice to piss a lot of money away for nothing and still live like a king. Do we want someone as our leader who is willing to through money away for a lost cause such as this?

    So silly.

I bet his big announcement is either a book or a new TV show.

As a capitalist I have to respect certain peoples ability to monetize something, i.e., use this issue as a way to make money.
As a human being I have to find their actions repulsive.

I first of all don't think that Trump would make a good president, but also he has the means to expose this administration to the place of shame. I pray he keeps nipping at their heels and get answers for us. There are such blatant lies going around, and back door deal, not just from one sided party, but both. Along with the liberals.

What sort of business savvy and experience could Trump bring to the table if he were POTUS? Past history says that he would declare the company bankrupt, that means us as in U.S..

Suppose you were China, how would you react to Trump having been elected POTUS approaching you for trade talks? I don't know about you, but I would be kind of angry and looking to make him eat his words twice over. But, no worry. That day will never come because GOT Party leaders in Congress, like Kantor, are on record as saying he could not, and would not win.

This man is an idiot.. he's just using " i'm thinking about running" for president just to get ratings for his show... btw and if he does decide to run.. a Trump/Palin or a Palin/Trump ticket in 2012 would a pure comedy train wreck..

I hate to break it Trump, but the only ones that care are the lunatics on the extreme right. Sane Americas don't care and don't want him to run!

He knows exactly how to get publicity,,, He's got CNN doing his bidding for him. Too bad for the serious candidates. They just aren't wacky enough to be newsworthy. As a result, we get Palin and now Trump 24/7. Face it people... the only place to get real news and facts us The Daily Show. Jon Stewart tells it like it is.

Trump's Neilsen ratings are more important to him than the state of the nation. He's just one big publicity whore. Even his choice of the birther issue is designed for maximum publicity - not to improve the state of this nation.

Please don't don't watch his crappy show ,that's exactly what he wants everyone to do is stand by and wait till he decides whether he's gonna run or not , it's just for ratings on his show , no more !!!! Trumps knows that everyone else knows that he's not really running for Potus , the last thing this man wants is for people to be looking through his financial records, and to have all of that money he has , Trump had to screw a lot of people over through out his life.....

Trump's a chump! Go ahead and run. You have provided plenty or rope to hang yourself. If people don't want a politician they think may be crooked why would we want one we know is crooked?

An announcement on his season finale about a future announcement. If this isn't all for publicity, I don't know what is. What a joke.

Mr. Show Biz, never held an elected office, not even dog catcher. Palin is highly experienced next to this clown. The rest of the world has to be shaking their heads at what idiots Americans are to even considered Trump for the WH.
