Tea Party Express looks ahead to 2012 at Tax Day rally

(CNN)-Hundreds of local Tea Party groups will join the Tea Party Express as co-sponsors in the first-ever Tea Party Presidential Debate, held in partnership with CNN, according to Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express.

Kremer announced Friday that local Tea Party groups from every state will support the group's first presidential candidate debate while speaking at the Tax Day Tea Party Rally in Tampa, Florida.

"Washington better take notice...this movement is getting stronger," she said.

"Tea Party Express is thrilled to announce today that on September 12th, right here in Tampa, the same city that is hosting the Republican National Convention, we will be partnering with CNN to host the first-ever Tea Party Presidential Debate, with hundreds of local Tea Party groups in every state joining as co-sponsors."

"This is a testament to the power of this movement," Kremer continued.

"We fully expect the next President of the United States to be chosen at this debate."

And the Tea Party Express chairwoman made a prediction about the 2012 presidential election, saying, "The next Republican presidential candidate will have to carry the support of this movement."

"They should know now that we want a true conservative in the White House," she declared.

First of all, CNN PLEASE stop calling this group founded and funded by the Koch brothers a "party" they are no party! Secondly, these people are ignorant, so angry about having an African-American in the White House that they are spewing their hate and anger simply because they don't like Obama! Where were these clowns when Bush II doubled the National debt? Where were these clowns when Halliburton stole billions from U.S. tax payers in Iraq? Where were these clowns when Bush II was borrowing money from China to fight TWO WARS?!

They are no "party" just an angry mob.

I'm confused- how many Tea Parties are there? This isn't the woman that goes on Bill Maher. Then there is some guy out there that says he's the head of the Tea Party.
If they can't figure out who's who or what the name of the group is- how can they tell America how we should spend our tax dollars?

and I'm sure at this rally the Tea Party will give President Obama a standing ovation since the majority of them have paid LESS federal taxes under him the past two years than they did in the Bush years, right? hmmmmm.....why am I just hearing crickets??

The Tea Party folks and other less tolerant conservatives have been screaming about kicking out politicians and bringing in fresher, more like-minded republicans. This is such a joke. I don't know about most people, but I want the smartest people in the room running the country. When we "throw the bums out", you know what we get? We get ideological amatuers, so rigid in their beliefs regarding everything that nothing gets accomplished. The Tea Party folks need to shut up and listen for a change.

I am so un-thrilled to having this happening in Tampa. Bad enough to have that criminal Rick Scott for a governor, now those dingy people are going to invade Tampa. Unless voters wake up, these conservatives are going to do more to damage this country, then trying to fix a deficit.

["This is a testament to the power of this movement,"]
But we’re still missing a very electable ingredient!!
Therefore ["We fully expect the next President of the United States…”]
NOT in any way [“…to be chosen at this debate."]

But we will continue to spew hate and fear
As we bring you closer to that bridge to nowhere
And we will have many “empty” and un-promising events
Because ["This is a testament to the power of this movement,"]

    SO BE IT!!!

I sure would like to know who think the TEA PARTY control all AMERICA vote. Most American people I talk to are all against the Tea PARTY and don't want nothing to do with them. They say the TEA PARTY aren't nothing but Corporate Drones and they are own and control by the KOCH'S BROTHER and a few other Billionaire. All the do Is go around America In there 250,000 dollar RV and spread hate , LIE and twist wood by other around and they are RACIST. The Tea PARTY Is all about the very RICH Getting RICHER. Any body vote for a person back by the TEA PARTY must be really dumb.

Dream on, hon! You are far from selecting the next President; this country has been ruined by fools like you and we are done with your crap. America is not made up of "true conservatives" so get over it. You are nothing but a bunch of whiney fringies with nothing more to do with your time than complain about where your next dime goes. Get a life and leave our country alone.

Can CNN explain why the Tea Party is the only political organization that EVER gets any news coverage? MoveOn is significantly larger and MUCH more active than the Tea Party, and yet, they're practically banished from network TV for being "too partisan." Why is the far left dismissed while the far right is propped-up and celebrated?

I'd like a serious answer, but I doubt CNN will even allow this comment to be posted for very long...if at all. If CNN wants any credibility, they need to post both sides of the story, not just the side generously funded by international corporations and billionaires.

  19. The reality is...

The Tea party is alive and well and will continue to gain support as more and more tax payers are totally fed up with the mounting debt that the government is laying on our backs, the backs of our children and grandchildren.

Wait - ONE debate will determine who the president is? You mean we won't have to go out and stand in line to vote? And they can quit spending billions spreading their republican lies and help pay down the debt?

WOW – why didn't the founding father's think of that?
