Palin to GOP: ‘Learn how to fight like a girl’

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin challenged GOP leaders to “fight like a girl” Saturday at a Tea Party Tax Day rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Unafraid to “take on the GOP establishment,” she offered suggestions to garner Tea Party support.

“If you stand by your platform, if you stand by your pledges, we will stand with you, we will fight with you, GOP, we will have your back,” she declared.

“What we need is for you to stand up, GOP, and fight. GOP leaders need to learn how to fight like a girl.”

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee heralded Madison as an example for Republicans to follow by recalling the Wisconsin legislature’s approval of a controversial bill that restricts the collective bargaining rights of unions.

“I’m in Madison because this is where real courage and real solidarity can be found,” she said.

“You saw these violent rent-a-mobs trash your capital and vandalize businesses. You held your ground. Your governor did the same thing. And you won.”

Palin defended Gov. Scott Walker’s union-limiting legislation because “he understands that states must be solvent to keep their promises” and “a pension is a promise that must be kept.”

And the possible 2012 GOP nominee hopeful painted events in Madison as a lesson Republicans can learn from. Criticizing GOP leaders for promising to cut $100 billion in federal spending but compromising at $38 billion in the recent bipartisan budget agreement, Palin said, “That’s not courage, that is capitulation.”

She also had strong words for the president, blasting him for getting the country into a “third war” it can’t afford, cutting off oil development and “misrepresenting” deficit spending.

“You ignored us in 2010,” she said. “But you cannot ignore us in 2012.

And to the crowd gathered in Madison, Palin promised a place in history.

“When the history of the Tea Party is written, what you accomplished here will not be forgotten. And the 2012 election begins here,” she affirmed.

To drive the point home, Palin recalled the Green Bay Packers’ 2011 Super Bowl win, saying, “What better place to call out the liberal left and let them know, Mr. President, game on!”

Nothing of value in that address. We ignored you in 2010, we'll ignore you in 2012.

John McCain did more harm to his party than 100 people can correct when he thought he was cute and nounating this air head to counter H. Clinton. She knows she can never win but plays the GOP and Tea Party for suckers all the while building her bank account. Wake up America.

'A third war' I thought she was all for Libya last week. Could this woman be more ridiculous?
Still I have to respect her support for the wisconsin bill to take away collective bargaining rihts.. Considering that over 60% of americans hated it, that's what I call 'courageous'!

What an annoying voice. Fight like a girl. That's what she did when she quit Alaska. She fled and has not shown her face here because 78% of Alaskans reject this flaky, backstabbing, would be glamour queen. She will be president the day bloated pigs like Rebbecca Mansour can fly. Sarah Palin is a coward, and a coward will always quit when the going gets tough.

She needs to get her facts straight. The Wisconsin capital building was not trashed. The only rent-a-mob crowds were the ones the Tea Party brought in. "Fight like a girl"? What does that mean? Wonder how much she got paid to spew her bile. Go home Sarah and take Trump with you.

The author of this piece must have received a transcript of Palin's remarks since no one who actually attended the rally could hear them over the loud boos and jeers of the people of Wisconsin. Perhaps a mention of the large anti-Palin crowd that dwarfed the Teapartiers by at least 5-1 might have brought some context to this article.

Um, does Ms. Palin need to be reminded that when the going got tough in Alaska, she QUIT. And she quit by all accounts, staying in office was going to be hard because of some investigations that were happening. Thank God Bill Clinton didn't quit when the Republicans were investigating him. We may never had had 20 plus million jobs created and three consecutive balanced budgets to close out his administration.

Yes, the deficit is a problem. Its been out of control for years,so why is the TP just now paying attention? What about when it more than doubled under W? The bank bailout was on his watch too, just happened to fall under Obama's fiscal year. Same w/the 1st stimulus. Maybe, just maybe former Rep Dick Armey and some heavy duty financial backers are steering this ship? Taxes too high? Hello? They're the lowest in decades-Reagan anyone? All misinformation to feed on emotions. The scary unknown president. Facts are not on their side,so a distraction is necessary.Deficits! Socialists! Obamacare! The repubs do not care about the deficit. Cheney anyone? Never have. Not in 40yrs anyway. Its all a smokescreen to stop Obama's agenda before he was even able to implement it. Another master plan in messaging. Republican politics at its sleaziest.

There should be a mental evaluation of this woman and if she is found deranged she should be locked away. That also goes for a few other president wanna be's. I found for this country in Vietnam and what it has brought me to is I am ashame of the way these people want to treat the poor and disadvantaged and keep padding the pockets of a few. I guess we will be judged in the end. I hope so.

Wrong once again Palin, I will ignore you and your teabags in 2012. Cannot vote in good faith for anyone of you, as you all spew lies and hatred, in my opinion. Actually, I believe the teabags will become a non-entity after the 2012 elections. I believe most Americans have had enough of the teabags, and their war on the middle class (what is left of the middle class), the elderly, and the poor in this country, not to mention women's rights and union busting. I, for one, will not sell out to corporate America, or the religious zealots in this country. President Obama is my choice for continued freedom for all in America. I never did take to the Koch approach to government.

Sarah Palin words sets the Women's movement back 75 years and she should know better being 46, she witnessed segregation, civil rights and bra burning. It is a shame that the folks that follow her have no idea what she rambles on about they just say she is a pretty woman lets support her, because she doesn't make any concrete sentence, she doesn't offer solutions she always turns the question to what the current administration is not doing and using idiotic phrase that sound delicious coming from her mouth for the C-level American people. Her weak stupidity show be enough for people to not want to witness this foolish woman BUT the more the news shows how ignorant she is the more the support her. What has she actually done? Someone please list her accomplishments.

No one wants to hear from a reality TV puppet. Plus, the state Palin comes from doesn't operate the way the lower 48 does. She has nothing to offer the American public. The only reason she wants to be involved down here is that no one wants her around in "God's Country". Do us a favor Palin, Don't Tread On Me or my fellow Americans, yer better off shootin' grizzlies and lookin' pretty for the camera. You kind of remind me of our turncoat, Mitch Daniels.
