President Obama hits the road to spread his economic message

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama takes his deficit reduction proposal on the road this week with town hall-style events in three states that are important to his re-election bid in 2012.

Obama heads to northern Virginia on Tuesday; Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto, California, on Wednesday; and Reno, Nevada, on Thursday to take questions on the economy and his plan, unveiled last week, that would end Bush-era tax breaks for the wealthy and cut spending.

Does America have the highest tax burden in the world? I'm sure you have heard some people state that as a fact. That is absolutely false. Forbes had us listed as number 27 in the world in a report they issed in 2006. The heritage foundation show us even farther down the list, at number 25. Here is a list of countries with higher overall tax burdens thn the U.S., according to the very conservative HERITAGE FOUNDATION: Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Bosnia, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kiribati, Latvia, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Mongolia, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe

    Don't believe the lies!!!!!

The President needs to campaign in states where democrats lost severely in 2010. Ohio and Wisconsin is where he needs to focus most of his time. Where ever there is union busting going on, that's where the President belongs.

As the Republican/Tea Party as already tipped its hand (ending all social safety nets: Social Security Medicare and Medicaid; killing health care reform; providing yet more tax cuts that the rich don't need), I can't see that he'll have much trouble. The Rep. TP have by now just about alienated anyone listening to them-including the rich!

Really?? We tried taxing? Our tax rate is the lowest it's been in 50 years. And with all of the loopholes the rich don't even pay half of that. The country was doing much better under Ike, when the top rate was 90%. 30 years trickle-down mumbo-jumbo is what we tried. And it sure stunk. You're a "moran."
