Washington (CNN) - Politics is serious business - but not all the time.
Will there be a next time?
President Barack Obama got into a somewhat tense exchange with a Dallas TV reporter during an interview Monday at the White House.
After the interview was over, Obama advised WFAA-TV's Brad Watson to "let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, all right?"
Full Story
Some of the interviewers do NOT let the person finish answering the questions. The interviewers forget that the pEOPLE want to hear a complete answer. All THEY want is an answer they can spin and twist to suit their particular agenda.
LET HIM FINISH. Joe Scarbro is the worst I've seen in a long time. That show has three hours of I, I, I, I, I, followed by Pat Buchanon sounding off about "when Reagan......." followed by Scarbro with more I, I, I, I, I.
It's getting downright disgusting. NO NEWS – NO VIEWERS. WRONG MESSAGE – NO VIEWERS. WAKE UP.
What's the harm in a little debate? Ha ha
why is the president of the United States giving the backwood hicks an interview anyways, all they see is a black man in front of them, that all they want to know. there nothing the president can tell these guys that they are interested in. all they want to do is stick to their birther and any other other lies they can think of to bully this president.
That is how the far right thinks and operates. The louder you are, the more correct you are. Drown out opposing voices with a filibuster.
It is still good that you conducted the interview anyway, despite your better judgement going in. Some people will take from it what they wish to see or hear. Most of the people outside of Texas will see disrepectful reporter.
It's about time you spoke up Mr. President.
How dare the President want the interviewer to let him finish his sentence!!!
Why should he let you finish.?. So you can continue to spin and lie. Its about time someone finally challenged you on one of your assertions... The media has been letting you slide for so long that you aren't used to being challenged.. Too bad.. So sad... I hope journalist pull their head out of their behinds and start challenging you on Bp Oil spill, Iraq, Afgh, Gitmo, Gas prices, Libya etc, etc, etc.. You deserve to have no punches pulled..
Thats just it, he never really answers a question. You can question the maker of his shoes and he will talk 30 plus minutes about the shoe strings.
Interrupt your subject's answers, cut them off and act like a pompus jerk.
well said to that idiot...Texan messed then he wants to ask and interrupt??? Pres. Obama, tell him we are on right path....unlike idiot Bush....
Pres. Obama also flubs a history question.
“Texas has always been a pretty Republican state,” Obama said, when asked why the President was so unpopular in Texas.
In fact, since the Civil War and until 1980, the Lone Star state swung toward the Democratic candidate in 23 of 27 presidential elections.
Can you imagine if Palin or Bachmann had been so misinformed?
Geez, what a nasty reporter huh? Not allowing Obama to get away with mistating the facts. The Arrogant One isn't used to being called on all of his lies. He needs to make sure that only his rear kissers are on the interview list. The American people already know that if his lips are moving, the lies are flowing.
@Four and the Door
Okay, you sure missed that boat, Rudy. The Republicans are saying, correctly, that if insurance companies are not forced to come up with 50 different products based on the different rules in each state, they can take out unnecessary costs that all of us are paying. Imagine for instance, if Apple had to make a different phone to meet the different requirements in each state. Do you think these phones would cost more? You know they would. But they would not be any better than the ones they sell in all 50 states

That makes a lot of sense to a conservative because it sounds reasonable. It is also as far from reality as you can get. That nirvanna you describe is supposed to ignore factors to add to the prices; factors like air and water quality, socio-economic ratings, anything else I could name. Oh, yeah. You forgot to add in delivery charges.
The ongoing rhetoric has been that your simple pricing scheme would result in lower prices in some areas. That line of reasoning is what I faulted. It's a lie. It would only result in higher prices, and even more arguments blaming the consumer for the higher prices.
It's simple: don't matter which party or what color he is...you let the POTUS finish speaking before you open your fat stupid yap. Would this have been done to Bush or Clinton? I think not...and it wasn't. You do the math.
Way to go Brad Watson!!!!
If obama get fail with his birth certificate so he will be impeach out of his presdient obama
Obama have too much problems job birth certifictae midest country polls is too bad 41 perecent
Coming from Dallas I was taken aback with Brad Watson. He is usually better then this. I did call his office and asked that he let all candidates finish their answers so we can decide who to vote for. I also reminded him that we have better manners than that in Texas and, he should know better.
I wish more reporters would ask tough questions to this joke of a president.......
Hey Reporter is it true: Your mother was a newt and your father smelled of elderberries? What? Oh well times up for this interview.
being ugly, rude and a got yea type of news ...is now the way we get the news.. and it is sad ... for the president and the gop canidates... no respect anymore... its a shame...

And, of course, here we go with the self-contradictions again, because you do realize just how at odds that whole "plan" is with the same GOPers who run around screaming about states' right and "oh what a grand idea it would be for us to let each state reform health care and health insurance and Medicaid and Medicare and Social Security whatever way it wants, including deciding to opt out of those programs or "nullify" them, so we have 50 different sets of health care systems and societal safety nets." You do realize that it's completely at odds with that to be claiming out of the other side of your mouths that insurance needs to be nationalized, don't you? Of course you do...it's just that it's all about whichever argument is more convenient at the time in whatever context you're speaking. The reality is, all nationalizing it would do is give some insurers the ability to better oligopolize. Moreover, where would your arguments about states rights and the limits of federal authority under the Commerce Clause go if it was nationalized in that manner? That's right...up in smoke...even now, they're not all that tenable...but you nationalize insurance in the manner you're talking and that's that...total federal "takeover" to a far greater extent than anything in the ACA. Of course, the "federal takeover' isn't the problem...corporate America has already taken over the federal government, so that concern is all smoke and mirrors...what's important is that they be able to nationalize, oligolaplize, run smaller coroprations out of business or buy them up to consolidate and then divert all the savings/increased profit margin to their personal bank accounts instead of increasing coverage and access, etc.
Dallas - Hmmmm - must be a "Shrub"-lovin' republican. Spin away, Dallas, Spin away.
'Let me finish' .... Unfortunately we have to, but plan on finishing up and moving on in January, 2013. It can't come soon enough.
And BTW Mr. President, have you EVER given an answer that was less than 15 minutes long and that actually answered the question that was asked? Maybe THAT is why reporters feel compelled to not let you finish? And why we are sick of hearing you.
Obama wants to finish his anwers; other words he didn't get enough campaigning in since that's all he knows how to do. For all those that think he is doing such a great job. How's the 8 plus% unemployment and plus $4 a gallon gas working for ya? I know it's still Bush's fault.
